Sanchez wasn't born with a light blue scarf around his neck. Most of us are looking at this issue as football fans. He is an employee in the labour market and in situations like this it's usually not a case of exclusively football reasons vs money reasons but all factors are collectively weighed. Yes we may have been his first choice but maybe he doesn't consider united a very much worse option all factors (including money which is important too) considered. It's not like he's having to choose between City or going to China for mega sums.
