Rather there than in goal.Bravo can’t play on the wing
When we already had a fit Sané Kun Sterling and Jesus we still tried to sign Sanchez last Summer. We had a look again this month but are now looking elsewhere.
Whether we have injuries or not we will sign a fifth forward at some point.
There is not another 17 year old getting into any other elite team in Europe that I know of so why would that be different at City? Neither Foden nor Diaz have shown they’re ready in terms of ability (a good U17 WC isn’t showing readiness for an elite European open age team), and neither of them look physically ready. Both have lost the ball by being outmuscled very easily in game time they’ve both had so far.
What you’ll notice about youth players moving on, they move on when they aren’t good enough. If they were good enough they’d get games.
Mahrez and Fred would pretty much wrap up the league for next season, even if rags go on to bring their diving diva and pay him a million a week.
We've got the manager who makes a difference as well. And we will be even more dominant than what we've been this season. Don't you all want that? Nothing guarantees it but it just makes us a whole lot favourite for back to back quadruples.
Post of the day, pmsflWhat about the other 70%?
Okay so I said most of this about 70 pages back but apparently about 40% of the forum still don’t get it.
We have no fucking backup wingers
Bernado is not a fucking winger
Diaz is 18 and not a fucking winger
Foden is 17 and not a fucking winger
We have TWO fucking senior players for our attacking THREE fucking positions
Mahrez is the best available fucking winger in the Premier League
Some similar level fucking wingers are older and/or unavailable
Other similar fucking wingers are younger and/or inexperienced
Mahrez has won the fucking Premier League with fucking Leicester and got the fucking POTY
We are in 4 fucking competitions. That is potentially 27 fucking matches.
People want to play for 6 fucking weeks with ONE fucking winger.
Coutinho 25, Mahrez 26, they are belong in the same bracket of intelligent players, but I think Mahrez's all-round creativity is better. So, any price below Coutinho's is a very good deal imo.
Yes, very good. What about the other 70%?
Unless United come in for him at some point I don’t see Leicester ever getting more than £60m for Mahrez.
Talk of £90m-£100m is laughable.
Would this be happening if Sane wasn't injured? No.
Would this be happening if we weren't scared of FFP 2.0? No.
This is panic buying at its best.
Is Mahrez a very good player who will probably play very well in an excellent team? Yes. But it's a sad state of affairs that football has arrived at the point where you shell out close to 100 million pounds, to cover an injury for a few months, rather than give an academy player a chance.

Not sure about that. He's a similar age to Coutinho and isn't far off ability wise. Not surprised Leicester are holding out for 90M in the current market. I'm not sure they'll get it from us though.
