Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

Newspapers and the media are often trying to cause mischief by suggesting the transfers of our best young players. Last Summer it was Sterling, John Cross I belive, Sterling to Arsenal, Now it is Stones to wherever. I Have Seen Sane to Madrid.
They are trying to cause problems where there are non. I am sure we will not sell out younger players when the club policy has been to lose the age of the squad. Cheap garbage journalism with a nasty underbelly.

The media are cnuts without any principles and the majority of the journalists are only interested in protecting the status quo of favoured clubs like the rags and dippers , and doing as instructed by their editors .

City are a thorn in their side, which means we are doing things correctly, so fuck them .

I think it’s rather poor tbh. It’s well known that the stories and non-stories about Sterling were, are and will be published because any story and mostly they are non-stories attracts readers (clicks). Obviously the MEN and Stuart Brennan do not particularly have to live up to the number of clicks as being a small read paper i.e. a small time reporter, so as a City-reporter he will try and get the clicks from us Blues by reporting what we wanna read.

Tbf in that case I don't think there are any bias. They are doing the same for every big club (maybe not Liverpool). They are just shit journos.

What a load of bollocks.Another idiot just trying to run SB done because of his ex allegiances.
His continued support of City over the past few years has been wonderful and unless you read him on a regular basis you are merely speculating.
A fucking great reporter who has more often than not put the Rags in their places with some wonderful put downs.

Mate, I read the MEN for over 40 years, the Pink Final from start to finish. And I don’t run SB down.
I do however think this is a poor piece trying to explain why the media are after Sterling while he also knows it’s about the clicks for worldread papers. And the MEN isn’t one of those.
So yes SB writes good pieces, I think he is actually a decent reporter, but he would write differently if working for Daily Fail or Sunblock. Maybe you should try and let your fan love for SB not blind you.

You really are naive if you think that NO reporter nowadays doesn`t think about clicks to promote their stories.
However,irrespective of my "blind love" for SB, it has taken him a few years to be finally recognised as a "decent reporter" as you class him from the hordes on Blue Moon for nothing more than his ex affinity with the Rags.
Perhaps its you who should take off the Blue tinted glasses and give a lot more credit to a great writer who constantly sits in our Blue corner and even has the balls to slag off his ex team.
 
Character Assassination at it's finest, There's definitely some uncalled for agenda against Raheem and it needs to be stopped, Better so is him sticking 2 fingers up and continually improving season on season as its fallen on deaf ears as far as he's concerned as Pep has brought him on leaps and bounds.

The problem also comes from reporters who are not connected to any type of sport,just these shit so called "celebrity stories",so sticking two fingers up at them means nothing.

I didn't even look at it from that angle to be honest and I was talking more from a Sports writer side of things, The club should be flexing their muscles at some point in retaliation to these uncalled for attacks on him but we know that won't happen as it's gone on for years and he hasn't been the only target at our club.
