I didn’t really want him in jan,and haven’t really changed my mind but if pep wants him so be it but at the price quoted we are being shafted, £40-50 mill at most for me but meh it’s not my money..A good player but not good enough for us, not good enough to displace either Sterling or Sane and 75m for a back up is a hell of a lot of cash.

100%I think the club would prefer Mbappe before any other player. But the price would be out our reach and he’s pretty much unattainable at the minute anyway. Mahrez is absolutely class. Anyone saying he isn’t a great winger will undoubtley be proven wrong. He will be hungry to prove himself at bigger club, too.

He himself says immediately after that tweet that he wrote about it...Hahaha. I can't find a single Sam Lee article saying City are 'Chasing Mahrez' before Jan 2018, even from 2016 summer. And Sam Lee has said on the @93pod before that he doesn't put stuff in print he isn't sure about or only reads from others.

Indeed, I've left it to the experts because they very well seem to know whom they want, even if they can't get them.
Fortunately, only young players aren't quite the obsession as some of us like to make it out to be for the experts at City.
