It might work if they had signed Torreira or if Jorginho was gagging for the move but he said only last week he was planning on rejecting offers and staying in Napoli because he's happy there. So the fact his contract is running down is irrelevant because he could easily sign an extension, and even if Ancelotti really doesn't want him there are plenty of teams who could afford him at this kind of price.

Are you new to the transfer forum? these things are worked on for months by us,it takes time and patience,his agent is in the UK waiting to complete the deal,he wouldn't be here if nothing was happening

We dont know all the facts, his agent is here till the end of the week, so this could still happen but I agree mate...Fabinho 44mil, Fred 52mil.......but we only willing to offer 40mil for Jorginho? Something doesnt add up.......Personally I dont think other deals have helped and the pace of this deal means other teams have set the market and pushed it higher than maybe we wanted to go. Mixed rumours about a 2nd bid......so lets see what happens, it could all be a show to put pressure on Napoli.

He’s waiting to see if any other clubs come in for him to drive the price up. Could go an all summer, but we’ll probably walk away before then. Got to be careful when a players head gets turned and denied a move they’re never the same player

His agent isn't necessarily in the UK to discuss this though. He has plenty of clients, could be here for one of them or he could be here on personal matters.

Maybe he's just enjoying the timless majesty of Colchester. You never know.
 
His agent said something will happen this week. Hopefully Napoli stop playing silly beggers and sort a deal out.

Them suddenly deciding they want Zinchenko could it made things worse as now it prolongs valuations and payments being agreed.

He has said he is here for this deal and awaiting the go ahead from the clubs,do you read the thread or just dip in and out? we are not buying a bag of crisps,,around 100m if you include his salary for 5 yrs,patience

Really not enjoying the condescending tone here Kaz. No I am not new to the transfer forum. No I do not read the whole thread that would be daft as easily 50% of the posts are totally inconsequential. No the deal is not worth around 100 million. We offered 40 and a salary of 20. Its not even remotely close. No his agent is not working on the deal, we have agreed terms with the player and him long before now, all his agent has to do is be there for the contract signing, and that seems more like a photo op than anything else. He has said he is waiting for the signal, the signal which may very well not come. That's why he is in Essex and not at the CFG. He is completely fucking powerless now if Laurentiis and Giontoli decide they aren't interested.

Imminent seems to mean before the window closes to our ‘ITKs’.

Alas, I return home from work to find that several news outlets are reporting that we might bid for Kovacic or Lemina if a fee isn’t agreed soon. Sigh.

We have offices in london for the legal stuff,my point is you are very critical towards the club a lot as if you don't have the whole story because you don't read the whole threads,if it goes through i think it will be higher than 40m and might include players,i don't much care for your tone about the club either

My point is there wasn't one useful piece of information in this whole page and if I wasn't one of the people arguing I wouldn't have read through it all. The idea that you have to read the whole thread is absolute rubbish. I have plenty of ways of getting information, reading every post on here isn't required to know what is going on, don't talk to me like I'm a child just because you have 67000 posts and think you've got a big dick in your pants.

All I said about the club was if we think offering Napoli ultimatums to accept piss poor offers is going to be successful then we are being very naive and that is absolutely fucking true. I don't waltz up to your house and ask to buy one of your Kolarov nudes for 50 pence and then think starting a bloody stop watch is going to make you change your mind. They have a valuation and if we're not willing to go anywhere near it then we are wasting everyone's time. After all we're not haggling over a packet of crisps here are we?

Edit: well fair enough true blue beat me to the post so there is one bit of potentially useful information on here but you still don't have to read every post in the thread.

Have you not considered the fact that our offer may look quite good when other factors come into play. Ancelotti will probably not need him, and next summer he will only have a year left. Better to sell him for 40-45 now than 20-25 next summer.

Of course this game relies on Jorginho wanting City only. Time will tell I guess.
