All so bitter
If we bid for him now and hijacked deal you would start creaming yourselves

Enlighten me. When Sky sports say they have "approached " leicester, and they "value " him at £65 million. What facts do those reports convey. Have they made a bid, are they telling Leicester what he is worth. Have they made contact with an agent and he has leaked this. ?

I sincerely hope Leicester absolutely bum the scum on the fee, they have no reason to let him go easily. Could be funny watching it unfold.

This is going to be really interesting, considering how long it took to finalise a deal for Mahrez it will be fun to see how this gets pushed through over the next 2 week's. Add to this that after selling us Mahrez it's not like Leicester are desperate for money either. It's safe to assume that if the Rags want Maguire then they are going to have to get well and truly lubed in.

Leicester replaced Mahrez (on potential) and strengthened their squad to the tune of £59.8m while selling Mahrez to us for £60m. Think their transfer business looks done as well tbh.

Can see this topping the VVD fee to get done in this window. E.g. A guarantee of similar quality as replacement with money left over to improve the rest of the squad.

Makes me laugh on Red cafe..they always go on about pep inheriting a better team than the eye gauger yet whenever there's a Derby & they name their combined 11's City are usually lucky to get 3 players named in their teams...
Yep. What's even weirder was at the start of last season their prediction thread on the title winner was a high percentage of them saying they'd finish first, after the first 5 games the whole of the forum was emphatically saying a rag title win. Yet as we started to runaway with the title those very same posters said it was inevitable City would win it because of what Pep had spent. They'd gone into full Trump mode and denied even saying they had chosen Utd at the start, that's even after some City fans had found their earlier post.

Love it. Buying a guy after a good world cup, the behaviour of a team that really has it's shit together

I know we don't do this kind of shit but it would be nice if Pep said something nice about Maguire. Brief the press were willing to offer 80 million and watch Maureen explode.

Season not even started and the press are already beginning to turn on the dismal one. I’ve heard and read loads of stuff this week, people have basically had enough of the woe is me press conferences. It could spiral quite quickly like Chelsea if they start slow.

Mahrez has gone this summer already, another major player for them going will not be something they want to do one bit; ergo Utd will have to pay top dollar to get him. Leicester do not need to sell and he doesn't seem the sort to cause hell and force it this summer even if he would like to move to a club considered bigger one day.

Sanchez deal has forced a lot of head scratching in the accountancy department i think. They are still reeling from that deal and more big numbers are being noted again already.

In a nutshell their accountants i think would say "if you want us to bring in x cash this season then we can not just buy this player now, sales must be made to fund it. We are sponsored up to our eyeballs, this is the only way to fund it" if asked what the score is by the Glazers.
