And cue the rag PR machine....

Dodgy agents.
Too expensive.
Didn't want him anyway.

Im not. Mourinho is finished and there was no way the board were going to give him a penny more to spend knowing full well he wont be around for much longer.
This is true, he'll engineer some way of getting sacked over the next several months.

Who the fuck on earth give him a contract extension.

Just had a quick look at Rag Cafe. Warms the cockles of my little heart it does. It’s dawned on most of them they’ve spent a load of money on utter shite who are playing for a manager that can’t get a tune out of them.

The thing is that what most of them don’t realise is that, for the first time in quite a few years, they hit their 4 main on-field performance targets as detailed in their accounts. These are the minimum ones they use to set their budget and are:
  • A top three finish in the PL
  • Getting to the last 16 in the CL
  • Getting to the QF of both the FA & League cups.
Woody & the Glazers will be quite happy with that. The share price is doing OK and the money’s still rolling in. They don’t particularly care that the football is shit. They’ll be more worried about Jose’s possible payoff so then won’t be in any hurry to sack him. Be interesting to see their 2018 accounts in the next few months.

Is he still living in a Travel Lodge? That never sounded like a long-term thing, to me? Does he not have previous for bobbing off in year three, also?

Even without a new signing, their squad is very strong and a better manager would get far more out of them.

De Gea
Valencia Bailly Smalling Young
Fred Matic Pogba
Rashford Lukaku Sanchez

This is before you add the likes of Mata, Martial, Herrera etc.

I've no idea where this myth that they need a massive splurge has come from, they need better coaching which I hope they don't get for a very long time.

It’s because the eye-gouging twat loves his shiny new toys to play with.

De Gea

Martial

Romero
Dalot
Smalling
Shaw
Jones
Fellaini
Rashford

That is their best side & bench.

Full back & centre backs are pretty poor. The midfield is all left footed & will have to cover massively for their defence & keeper. They'll be so deep.
They've little pace in transition and are pretty limited in terms of football.

The midfield three are all decent players. I liked the look of Fred, but will Fred & Pogba not want the same role?

I see troubles ahead.

Compare that xi to Everton's.

Pickford
Coleman
Mina
Keane/Zouma
Digne

Gaye
Gomes

Bernard
Sigurosson
Richarlison

Tosun

Steklenburg
Jags
Zouma
Walcott
McCarthey
Lookman
Baines

Think Everton look much more balanced.

Looking at this kind of shite all summer on social media hahaha dream on you silly rags

Today's the day when Man United have declaired they cant live with Manchester City, they finnished 2nd to us last season and had every opportunity to deliver in the transfer market to push on but the board at the club has bottled it,there only interested in preserving a champions lge spot to keep revenue flowing, no challenge and thats pathetic from the so called biggest club in the footballing world, Like a boxer on the deck whos being counted down he just stays there because he knows its over, Ladies and Gentlemen this is Manchester United

If Fred operates better where Pogba likes to be then i can only see hassle. Pogba is not a Mourinho player so will be benched in an instant for Fred which will see all hell break loose in the media. More so than already if that is possible.

First deadline day I’ve enjoyed in a long time. Pundits trying to make them sound relevant and hard done by. Despite the money already spent this window.

Probably quicker to list players that haven’t snubbed them this week...
