Nah matey - not like that. I have fought many a time and been a twat many times more. Have known the unbalanced highs that are the 'gift' of ego. Treated people in such
a way that I saw them as them as 'less worthy' than you might see shit that you may once have stepped on with your shoes. Not a very nice person, to say the least.
But if I can come to know this divine Love then maybe so can you? Especially if, as it appears to be through this thread, you are a way more worthy person than I am?

Silence/sound, stillness/movement,formless/form, heaven/earth. In a sense, all some people suggest is that if you make a choice
to open to the former, then the latter comes to be more enjoyable. Which is a bit different from just trying to change the latter
so as to be 'happier.' Blessing be.

There might be one or two folk on here that think I'm a bit of a 'Kant?' But, genuinely. this is how I have found life to be in practice.
Reminds me of a saying that is (roughly) 'slow down, so as to let God catch up.' If you are into the likes of Kant, then maybe you would enjoy
the works of the likes of Kundera (and please excuse me if you know these already) who spoke of 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being'
but also 'Slowness' - which, for me, has ideas within it that are mind-blowing.

Initially you read of other peoples experience especially their experience of the Divine. Then I thought I want that deeper experience myself.
Initially you treat God as an equal but as He “catches up” with you you realise that He is slightly greater than you. Good job the community of love that is God is crazy about me- I thought He had infinite taste- and ultra generous. Spiritually it is like being a 2 year old again and jumping into the arms of your father, being swung round and hugged.
Existentially this might not be how you would describe things.

I think I might have an idea of what you are speaking of but am not so sure - so maybe you can help me understand, if I know what you are talking about? Is like I am a man that is 6 foot plus,two hundred pounds plus and can very easily find - and act on - that which might be called 'the reptilian' inside. But I got to the point where I sort of realised that this can only take me so far. Like I can be an 'adult' in this way but if I want to move beyond this, then I am gonna have to learn how to let myself be a 'baba' in his/her divine arms?

I was on a retreat once and priest said,” I hold my hands up I have had no time to prepare anything. Just put yourself in the prescence of God.” It worked for me. Do it in your own words then try and keep quiet. Seek and you will find.

Yes, that makes sense for me. Even if i may not be 'so good' at it, at times. But I am really grateful that you have chosen to write here. When you speak of Kant it's like 'yes. I have cone across his ideas before' but I would love to hear how these ideas might speak to you - perhaps (even especially?) if these ideas are/have felt different from my own.
Anyhow, in these moments i might choose to find comfort in the likes of this. You might not. ok?

1, clearly stating a pecking order making women subordinate to men - an injustice in my eyes
2, some people who apparently tempted(who knows what the tempt is) Christ get destroyed by serpents - a pretty cruel and way over the top way to be punished in any ones book, that's notwithstanding the fear factor in the line which is also cruel
3, a list people or groups of people who wont be allowed into heaven because of certain traits they have - not very tolerant is it? and i thought god loved everyone equally

and this is one of the lighter books of the bible, good job we are not dealing with genesis,exodus, revelations etc
