Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Really getting fed up of our club, they just do everything so professionally these days, look at this thread 348 pages of will he wont he, is he good enough or not, will he get better or not, brought to an end prematurely by the club knowing what is doing, no need for any Foden thread if this carries on we wont have anything to fall out about, well maybe muffin and barm. :-)

Excellent news. One thing City have managed to do so well is retain players despite interest from elsewhere. Boateng is the only player we have lost who would have been in the starting lineup week in week out.

He seems to get better and better each week and is still so young.

He's only signing a long contract so that we can get a larger transfer fee for him.
Not that i believe that for a second but that's exactly what would be said on here if Salah or the like did it.
Great new for City fans

Which team has a history of selling there best players?

Which teams has a history of keeping there best players?

So your post is pretty irrelevant if you choose the correct questions.

Thats because they sell their best players and we don't so it's what usually happens at the dippers

*their not there............good post though.

I doubt very much he will get 300k. He won't be above DeBruyne, Aguero or Silva's wages.

gen question mate, how much do you think we would get if he had 6 months left on his contract?
At that stage I still think he would go in the $60-70M range, but this is using United as my basis (obvy would not go there). Anyway, this discussion is all useless because he will sign. I still have no idea how this became such a big talking point whereas every other players' contracts are not newsworthy.

I never expected him to sign his contract whilst away at the world cup or even after while on holiday, but as the weeks crept on i did get worried his agent was not working for his best interest, well done everyone on keeping harmony in the camp over what was a stressful time England's best player and he has not reached peak yet sky is going to be gutted

I disagree. Bearing in mind his age and nationality, I would expect him to be earning more than the Holy Trinity by the end of the season. He will only get better, unlike Aguero and Silva who have arguably already peaked. Now to secure the future services of Mr. Foden Esq. before Dortmund get their teeth into him.

But we are not a selling club unlike others

Yes, I was thinking that too. Sterling is nowhere near his peak, and a five year contract will take him to his peak.

not a chance he will earn more than KDB for example. KDB will be soon knocking on Soriano's door if thats the case
