22/23 was when he really started to tear things up and even then only in the goalscoring sense. People forget that even at 23 he was our second choice to Sanchez.
This is often touted but it wasn't the case. We'd have bought both.
On Jesus, we should be concerned. He clearly works hard but he's not cutthroat in the way the truly great strikers are.
To be absolutely ruthless, I'm still not convinced he's that big an upgrade on Kelechi(other than in terms of his workrate and the system we play) but over time Kelechi could eclipse him.
There's not a lot between Jesus and Martial other than one has a crap coach.
He seems a bit intimidated and that needs to be knocked out of him for him to flourish. Pep has done it with Raheem and you can see it coming in Leroy so hopefully next year Jesus matures on the field along the same lines.
