I would argue he is more comfortable with the ball at his feet than any other full back we have. His biggest issue is his lack of positional awareness. Today there was no such issues, a great performance.
 
Great performance and most importantly, the exact kind of player this team needs playing at leftback. Laporte defended brilliantly against Everton but was poor on the ball. We need someone like Zinchenko, who’s still far from the finished product, to dominate the ball and play through the lines.
 
That was impressibe,almost faultless and so good with the ball, possibly the best full back at the club?

Zin didn't put a foot wrong, made great timed runs behind the defence and also a perfect assist for Raz.

Was tearing my hair out when I saw him starting but fair fucks, Pep knows what hes doing.

Oleks ran himself into the ground for the cause, did more than his fair share of defensive and attacking play. Superb
 
Fair play to the lad, I always saw him as a likeable guy but never felt comfortable playing him as a LB vs a top team.

Today he proved me wrong, well done Zin. Would rather him than Delph regardless
 
Most of us were worried that Pep left out Delph and Danilo and played young Zinch in this one. He proved us all wrong.

No, not most of us. Most of us were fine but there was a dozen or so that lost there shit on the pre match thread.

Hopefully they’ll trust the manager a little bit next time.
 
He may have an affinity for the club and we supporters, even the ones that criticise him... it’s difficult to tell, though...
