I meant I would like FIFA to bring in a law that if a player misses an international (or two), he should be banned from his club's next game automatically.
I think the exact opposite. No one should be able to force a player to play for a country. It should be completely voluntary and players should be encouraged to always put themselves and their club’s interest first (because that’s were their wages come from).

Imagine if you were obliged to join a national association for whatever your job is. And then let the media tear you apart. And let nationalism flourish with you as a figurehead.

International football is a scourge on the sport imo.

Totally agree, the less international football the better. The number of meaningless games is totally out of hand and if fifa get their way club football would be played in the internaional close season.

Scouse Liverpool fan in “I like Scouse Liverpool fans” exclusive.

Words fail me......

“I know there are a few aggressive fans” classic understatement.

Best yet was when he said the fans felt castigated for Heysel - good grief.

Best line was being lifted over fans heads to get to the toilet then passed back over them on the way back, no surprising he thought things were normal at Crewe............

Personally to me it doesn't matter whether or not the majority want us to win or not. But as far as English media, English pundits, English fans or even fans who support English clubs, the vast majority want City to win because City winning doesn't have any significance, everyone knows they're a foreign government sponsored side with endless amounts of money ala PSG. However us winning it, would potentially, be a sign of things to come, and no one wants to see a dethroned King rise back up. We're a special club, for multiple reasons, but winning would the league would be a boost for us for all the obvious reasons and they don't want to deal with that.

It's genius when you think about it.

The English pundits don't want them to win as it may return them to the throne even though atleast half of said pundits have very strongly ties and affection towards Liverpool........

More thoughts from another of the totally deluded fuckwits.

A very special breed, that is for sure.

It's funny how all of our players are shit but they wish injuries on them because they're good enough to affect games.

its shit or bust for liverpool and questions must be asked if they fall short again and the investment made by liverpool this season and klopp as manager will be judged ?? its do or die they need to win the league they have put all the eggs or candles into the league title basket, they have even come out and said its the league title that is the main aim ??? city can sit and wait without to much pressure knowing we already have a league cup in the bag and still in all the other competitions so we can play one game at a time and its all in our hands, and even if we come up short we know pep will be ok and the club owners will be backing pep

liverpool have not made to many friends in football and a lot of their fans are a disgrace and to many times crossed the line over the years, but the media have gone all out on backing them and quite simply shocking at times, and the tv pundits look like fools when doing city games or reviews highlights its clear they want liverpool to win the league and never ever questioned klopp or the money he spent on winning nothing, and sometimes klopp is clueless and plays the blame game for a so called top manager is a joke

so again i say its game on and when liverpool had their the chance to all but rap the title up and should be in clear water now, even pep and city would have waved the white flag and played and rested the main players in the squad for champions league and FA cup games, but again liverpool and klopp blame the weather ???? and let city back in and its now in city hands and out of liverpool's

Even Wayne Rooney wants city to win.

It's a great reason to be out the country when those two are going head-to-head for the title," Rooney, who now plays for Major League Soccer side DC United, told talkSPORT.

"I hope Man City get over the line before Liverpool. I couldn't bear to see them win it,
