I think Pep will try and win the CL tie in the first game away itself, then rotate for the second leg at home just before the league game at home ... that’s the way to manage those three games against spurs ... no point trying to come back with game in balance or a a single away goal advantage etc ... just for them in first leg, have it won then rotate and have fresh players go back again in the league ... if second leg is in balance we end up playing full strength first team for that midweek, and having to go full length at full speed to win that, it will show its effects in the league game against the same opponent a few days later ...

If they win today they are past the 40 point mark. That will make it easier. The key thing is we are miles better than all of the sides we have left to face. Spurs will be the hardest one for me

I reckon Cardiff will be as good as down by the time Liverpool play them and Newcastle.Hopefully they do win as that would also keep Newcastle fighting and it'll be tougher for the dippers.

It's pretty remarkable that given the marked improvement of Liverpool's defence courtesy of Allison and Van Dijk and how easy we are to get at, that we've only conceded one more goal than them. Our defence, in particular Ederson and Laporte, are so underrated.

Frankly, I'd rather have their games than ours. The buggers keep winning, it's hugely irritating and extremely stressful. One of their goals looked offside as well so that is another break they have enjoyed. Can only see them dropping points at home v Chelsea and possibly away at Newcastle, now, there's a team who'd like to serve up some revenge by stopping Liverpool winning the league

To be honest looking at that, the ball has already left his foot and it’s split second. Offside but not that clear in real time. Unlike the one at West HamHow does the linesman miss that?...shocking officiating.
