It’s up to Sane to make himself a guaranteed starter by performing in training. We have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. I doubt he’s just being left out for shits and giggles.

He does not even come close to Mahrez. Sane could not even make it in a dreadfull german team for the world cup. As we all know, he is a prospect, he has not prved much yet ! Playing in a team full of world class players does not make him a world beater. As much as I like the pace and technicality of Sane, he gives the ball away more often than Mahrez, his first touch is most of the time shocking and he does not defend well. Had Sane played yesterday, we would have had a very reminiscent score of against Liverpool last season.
Treating a city player who has done his atmost to join city and has not spared himself in pursuit for improvement since he joined the team a clown is just disgraceful.

All the other posters say City would be better off with Sane, but you say we wouldn't, therefore opinion on the subject is divided.
Bottom line, Leroy's been pretty good since he's been here, and at times scintillating. Mahrez has been anything but. One of the most spineless individuals to wear a City shirt in a good long while. When it comes to teams who press and/or counter well Pep does seem to go with a player who can hold the ball well on the wing. Last year when he played Gundogan on the right against Liverpool comes to mind. This is one of Sane's flaws. He does lose the ball the ball at times which could lead to counter attacks more easily. I really think Pep was more concerned about keeping the score tight and not pushing for a goal and making it an open game. However Sane does track back well and has the pace to defend and really should have just played him because Mahrez offered nothing. There are 2 more games against Spurs so we'll see.

If you want to say it's one of Pep's flaws then maybe it is. But away from home he wants to control everything, even the crowd. If we have the ball for long periods it becomes boring for the crowd and takes the atmosphere away. If Aguero had scored his pen then it would have been a good strategy. Now we have to go for it at home so if Leroy doesn't play then something is wrong.

I’d be inclined to guess that this is a personal falling out between the pair, more than likely Sane questioning Peps authority in some way.. it needs sorting though as he could be the difference at the moment!

No comparison between the 2 players. Leroy Sane is just miles ahead in terms of ability. Leroy has the potential to be the best in the world,he possesses pace and tremendous flair and balance that is rarely seen.

Sane is our player with the highest ceiling.

Seems to work hard and track back when playing also, a bit stroppy at times but it's pretty hard to see why he isn't getting game time currently based on what we get to see.

Need to give him a run with Sterling, our best wingers. Bernardo can play central.

Not true ! If he does not play well, I won’t rate him. Yesterday he was not the worst player on the pitch, simple fact ! His work rate was great, he delivered an excellent cross to Jesus who should have put the ball in the back of the net, he was disallowed a stonewall penalty. I do not have to prove to you that I am a city fan ! I was, I am and will always be whether you like it or not ! If you want to talk football, I will be more than happy. Making allegations and spiculations is not my cup of tea.
