Var debate 2019/20

Well it’s literally the rule at the moment. It wasn’t deliberate so it’s a goal.
How can a goal via an arm not be intentional. You attack ball miss with head or leg but it hits arm by mistake and that’s ok?

If VAR called it right then fair enough but my god it totally kills the joy of the moment,it felt like the Aguero goal when the 5th went in,and then you've got to stop celebrating and stand there wondering what the **** is going on.Well done spurs, but VAR is going to change the game forever and you may as well stay sat in your seat and wait...................................................................................................................................

Based on the penalties given in the CL and based on UEFA’s own directive to refs that goal shouldn’t have been allowed. The ref clearly wasn’t shown all available angles and clearly had no idea what he was looking for. This isn’t up for debate.

I'm not too sure whether the rules allow it to be a goal or not, for me hitting his arm enables his hip to generate more power goalwards so I thought it was handball. What worries me more is the fact the professional commentators don't even acknowledge it hits his arm. The ref, cant blame him for the angle he was given, didnt acknowledge it hit his arm and the people controlling what angle the ref sees need to improve. Doesn't change that first leg though when will pep learn :(

Yes. There was nothing wrong with it. He's scored with his hip not his hand/arm, there was no hand ball there for me.
So you didn’t see it hit his arm? If I win possession with my arm anywhere on pitch and gain advantage that’s okay?

Llorente gained an advantage by using his hand intentionally or not, it’s irrelevant. By UEFA’s new standards issued straight after the Otamendi handball against Shalke, any ball that hits a hand that gains an advantage is considered handball. The fact is we were shafted for at least the 4th year running by UEFA and their officials, whether it’s the blatant match fixing of the Liverpool games last year or the ‘conveniently forgetting’ to show the referee the angle which proves beyond any shadow of a doubt Llorente gained an advantage with his hand this year.

The fact it’s so predictable, read my posts back and you’ll see I told you all what would happen at the start of the Champions League campaign with the officials deciding our destiny. I made the decision to not attend Champions League games like I know a lot of other City fans did and this is why. Bent as fuck.

Oh and the Aguero offside replays are stopped before the ball leaves Bernardo, run that a split second on, he’s not offside.

Like others have said whether the decision is right or wrong you can’t celebrate a goal properly anymore and it’s only going to be worse for us fans now having been stung with that one tonight.

What the fuck are you talking about.

A team that concedes 3 at home doesn't deserve to go through. WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT???????????????????

So we conceded 2 against QPR and that Aguero moment shouldn't have stood coz you can't concede 2 against QPR at home.........

We're just trying to make excuses. If we lost 0-5 it would be understandable.

We battered them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do I watch this fucking game.
I gather that response was aimed at me ??
If you defend shit then why do you deserve to go through, irrespective of the number of chances our opponents h
Its called "the end result" and whether you like it or not,the Spuds went through why ?
O deary me YES they conceded less than our shit defence.
You may not like it,but you have to admit ... am I wrong ??

Was it deliberate ??
Was it fuck and therefore the goal stands.Think of Sergio v Arsenal at home where it unitentionatly hits his arm.
Next season it will be dis allowed.
Look at Llorrente. Did he deliberately score with his arm/elbow/thigh ?
Did he fuck >
Another piss poor piece of defending !!!

You’re killing me, as many of you are tonight. It hit his elbow, clear as day. Illegal part of the body and didn’t hit any other part before it went in.

How can a goal via an arm not be intentional. You attack ball miss with head or leg but it hits arm by mistake and that’s ok?

So presumably if it had hit Kompany’s arm like that you’d want a penalty awarded against us?

It was a clear hand ball I’m so shocked that so many couldn’t see it on the replays after.

Var is joke if the referee doesn't get a replay of every angle!? There is no point whatsoever with var if thats the case.

OFFS !!
Why blame VAR ??
At the end of the day any team that concedes 3 goals at home do not deserve to go through.
VAR IMO was correct .. its the fucking defence who fucked up,all through the match !!
Any team that concedes 4 away from home do not deserve to go through by your logic. And it is handball, it’s proved beyond doubt on here on page 4.

So you didn’t see it hit his arm? If I win possession with my arm anywhere on pitch and gain advantage that’s okay?

If you deliberately do it no but he's not deliberately used his arm. There's no intent from him to use his arm to put the ball in the net, it's tight to his body and then the ball bounces down off his hip.

Each to their own if you see it differently but this is still the main issue with VAR and it being used inline with interpretative rules.
