Didn't look offside on the TV, was about a yard onside in fact on the replay.
Which might explain why the lino didn't flag!

I felt I was making it clear so sorry if it did not appear that wayYes, I know that offside was not about slide rules but where do you draw the line? We have a clear line on goal line decisions, throwings, corners. If we leave it open to interpretation you leave it open to controversy and corruption.
Good thing is away goals rule is scrapped next season. Though we still need to defend better.
Ha, with our luck, we will go out on penalties next year when away goals would have seen us through ...
Apologies for the negativity but I'm still a bit emotional after that - Unfortunately our age-old problem of coming up short in genuine "crunch" games is still there. Apart from Liverpool in Jan, if you look at what I would deem "proper" games over the past few years our soft centre is still there - Liverpool (x3) last season, United at home to win the league, Monaco away 2 years ago, going out with an abject whimper against Madrid previously.
Its the hope that kills you.
Additionally, letting Llorente between both centrehalves to score with his arm/midriff was criminal.
Genuinely cant see us winning the league from here.
Congratulations mate,i wont say the best team won but neither do you not deserve the progression to the Semi Final.I hope you find the ability to go all the way now.Slightly embarrassed to reappear here.
For years Spurs have been synonymous with snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It is nice to have it the other way round for a change.
Well played to everyone. I hope I could say that if the result had gone the other way.
You lot look better without Kane, it's like everything has to go through him first before you mount an attack but without him you're more fluid.Slightly embarrassed to reappear here.

That's the spirit mate, I suppose a dead body gets your juices flowing does it?Spurs could really kill our season on Saturday

I haven’t watched a replay but Son looked at least two yards offside and I sit along the edge of the penalty area.Goalkeeper goes up to catch the ball and is buffeted. Foul all day long, but was it a City defender who buffeted him? Also , the initial corner where Eddie came tear-arsing out to beat the Spurs player? The guy was two yards offside, right in front of the lino. I think I haven't got incidents confused!!
Well played and enjoy. To say you lost Kane and Alli in the first game and then Sissoko in the second that was an amazing victory. Although actually I personally think losing Kane was the best thing that could happen for you, we have much bigger problems defending against a player like Son than we do Kane. And the game last night was perfect for Son and he took full advantage.Slightly embarrassed to reappear here.

Son was clearly onside, Walker played him on.I haven’t watched a replay but Son looked at least two yards offside and I sit along the edge of the penalty area.
Lino’s don’t put their flags up because they think if a goal is scored it will be reviewed.
Then they win a corner from the offside, get another corner where they scored with a handball.
They review the handball only, yet a blatant offside directly led to the goal.
We were told VAR would erase mistakes and yet at the time we warned that this kind of thing could happen if Lino’s don’t flag for offside when they see it
Don't be. You won fair and square. I haven't delved into the refereeing assessments. It's enough for me that they were reviewed and rightly or wrongly the calls were made and we always have to accept their judgement.Slightly embarrassed to reappear here.
