Issue around kompany is always fitness/injuries. When he is fully fit he is in first 11, we won every game he played this season (bar wolves) and Guadiola picked him in all the key must win games (when fit). To say he is 4th choice is silly in my opinion.
 
He looked shaky and nervous to start last night. Grew into the game but absolutely flailed at that cross, luckily Lingard is so wank he missed it as well.
 
I love Vinnie but his distribution puts more pressure on us and his is least good of all the centrebacks. I also think he impacted Eddies distribution last night. I was really torn, liking that we had his leadership on the field but concerned at the number of times he lost us possession.
Given its Burnley on Sunday he may well be called upon again.
 
Hopefully can stay fit for the last 4. A must starter if fit with Laporte. The shaky start last night was vastly overstated by mutv. How many chances did they create? Chopping Rashford was the sort of team play he's been doing for 10 years. Take the booking and regroup after Dinho's fuck up. Couple of bad passes and then back to normal service with Laporte. Against arguably the greatest talent in Europe:)

Fair assessment. It's tough to do a fair game assessment of legends. Too many get a little touchy about it.

Worth keeping as a fourth choice for cup matches, big games and lifting trophies if he's happy with that. No need to sell him (because nobody will buy him), no need to play him as often as we once did (because we have Stones and Laporte), no need to let him rot away in the reserves (because he's good enough when fit). The best solution is to have him start 5-10 league games per season and make up other appearances when he can. One of Pep's biggest accomplishments at City is moving us completely away from relying on Kompany and Yaya to win things, and it means we can offer a realistic situation to Vinny whereby he plays a lot less than he used to but still has a role in the dressing room.
