Exposing the hypocrisy of journalists

Assume that Rabin won't want to name and shame the person for fear of then being 'outed' himself. But whoever it is, the adversary would be a fool to go through with the threat to unmask Rabin, because he or she will then be a pariah among City fans and I seriously think that the anger would be such that the person's own physical safety might be compromised.

Don't understand any of this, but I will say that if someone wanted to shut Rabin up and focus attention elsewhere it's worked.

yes! we had to reschedule our chat for later this week, but it will be coming soon!

Don't know how to post tweets but this was the 9320 podcast account on Twitter on the 3rd June after they'd previously announced Rabin had agreed to contribute. It was a reply to someone enquiring when it was going to happen.
so is it the lads at 93.20 podcast who filmed him ??

I know where Rabin is coming from with wanting to protect his privacy. I tweeted a few home truths about Liverpool fans last year that went viral and some of the rats took offence and tried pulling up info about me and where I worked and my family etc and it’s very unnerving and that was from Just a few gobshites so I can only imagine what it’s like when main stream journalists are rattled and trying to seek info about yourself. So if he has been duped by fellow city fans then he does right to just sack Twitter off.

What was the intention of the person filming him? To release it as a scoop for their channel or just so they can brag about to their mates? Even though it's a bit of a ****'s trick, it's a little easier to forgive than refusing to delete it after you've specifically been asked to.

Rabin said yesterday that he'd agreed to do an interview for a podcast that never took place because they were never able to agree a mutually convenient time. That was 93:20, I strongly suspect. And when they were discussing it with him, they clearly indicated that it would be a phone rather than a video chat, and were even prepared to use software to disguise his voice. So IMO pretty unlikely to be them given that the conversation seems never to have taken place and they were absolutely on board with protecting his anonymity if it had.

Don't understand , if true, is why a City fan would do this .
Maybe I'm naive but I agree.with you. Why would a blue want to bite the hand that feeds them so to speak. I dont get it, maybe someone masquerading as a blue reeled him in. Maybe that fraud is an associate of one of the journos. it's not like they would do it directly because 1. They are spineless cowards. 2. They dont want to be directly implicated? It's not like these low lifes dont know a few people. I mean how else do they 'source' the inside track on stories. How do we know the News of the world phone hacking hasn't developed over the years. It's all speculation I know but its plausible. Best thing is for Rabin to report it to the police and take it from there. Hes being blackmailed and now an audience of lord knows how many on here know about it. Who's to say one of us isn't a copper and is duty bound to investigate it further. Anyway one way or another the truth will out. It invariably always does.

True, he did say he respected the person he was having a Skype call with also.
