Exposing the hypocrisy of journalists

I see your point and appreciate it. Few things though, over the last few days my engagement with Delaney has been peripheral, he's blocked me and apart from that little thing about Dave Lizewski schtick (which I picked out of Bluemoon forum, who was the brilliant chap who called me that here? I can't remember...made me laugh so much) which was for a lark, I've hardly done much. A couple of things have come about, there have been other blues who have pushed back Delaney amazingly with logic, reasoning, facts and evidence, it's been great to watch and the second is that Delaney is painting himself into the MacKenna corner which is the deep dark recess where all rational thinking journalists don't step in. If you notice even the usual support acts (with the exception of MacKenna) haven't arrived.

I really have very little bandwidth to seek "targets" etc, that would give me far more credit or notoriety than is fair and thus far I've only reacted to what I see as unfair coverage, like other blues. Though I've been reading up about the UK Middle east relationships and the background to what these guys call "sportswashing" etc, and honestly I don't know how journalists from very eminent newspapers (and the newspapers) themselves can get it so wrong. I'm sure there will be opportunities to write about this in the future.

End of the day, can't wait for the season to begin!!! Cheers
It's worth looking into the timeline of these reporters, they posted next to nothing about City until we started winning things like we are.

MacKenna's a good example, hardly anything about City (Or LFC) until we started winning under Pep. I didnt look into it too much but I did notice his reports about City and ramped up once Pep won his first title.... Interestingly so did his pro LFC reports (He didnt seem to report on them at all before we started winning) It's as if someone has paid him to be pro LFC/Anti-City from 2016/17 onwards.

Something else they ignore is their own publications reporting on the Abu Dhabi... Sometimes even the reporter themselves, no mention of sportswashing, in fact they are gushing over the Abu Dhabi gp.

Well done anyways fella

You are a hero - keep it up!

Why isn't Ewan Mckenna boycotting Twitter?

He urged City fans to boycott City because our 'owners' (by which he means the UAE Government I assume) are contributing to the war in Yemen. Yet one of the biggest shareholders in Twitter is part of the Saudi royal family and has tweeted that he will reward members of the Saudi Air Force with 100 Bentleys for their involvement in the conflict in Yemen.

If he was a man of principle like he claims to be, he'd do us all a fucking favour and delete his account.

Because he is a hypocritical twat

The independent finally got around to correcting Delaney's 'i hate city' article on the treble to correctly differentiate Etihad and Emirates. Of course the footnote is still wrong, as they have both claimed we're sponsored by Emirates, and then claimed that Etihad sponsored the FA Cup.

What's notable, however, is that at no point did Delaney admit to his lying, actually insisting he'd never claimed it.

Also, I do have to wonder what the effect of private eye contacting them about the article had, as that's what happened per the PE journalist i'd been speaking to and suddenly the article was corrected. Obviously a complete coincidence.

'Kin ell. Just been reading through MacKenna's timeline. He's obviously in the wrong business as he hates sports. Within the last few days someone has pissed on his chips over: the Cricket World Cup Final, Dublin GAA, City, Megan Rapinoe and Flamengo. He must have been the fat kid at school who was picked last in literally every single PE lesson.

Nah, he's the kid with a (badly written ) excuse note from his Mam explaining about Ewan's small testicle.

Anyone who wants to boycott City because of the UAE's involvement in Yemen should also be boycotting anything with links to Saudi Arabia (the major coalition partner) or the United Kingdom or the United States (principal suppliers of deadly weapons including bombs that kill little, innocent children). So that's all of us boycotted, basically.

The hypocrisy stinks all the way to heaven. In any other context, if you protest against the violence of states towards civilians, they call you a Commie, or something equally derogatory. Say it in an anti-City context, and it's fine. Hypocritical ****s - they are like vegans who eat meat 6 a days week.
