City 11/10 over 90 mins is buying money surely? They've been shite in pre season
Give over. Pre-season is meaningless. It’s two fairly evenly matched teams, hence the odds. Could easily go either way.

Pep Guardiola: "My colleagues worldwide know how difficult it is to do what we have done (four trophies in one season). Behind it is a lot of work, incredible work in every department. The CFA, the doctors, physios, the staff, the players, everyone

"Four titles in one season, it’s the first time in history. I would take it again, to win four titles and not the Champions League but I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen."

Pep Guardiola on no Manchester City players making the FIFA #TheBest nominations: “I'm not going to say the 10 guys nominated for this award don’t deserve it. For the Premier League awards we had five or six nominated. So I was a little bit surprised..."

Pep Guardiola on nominations linked to Champions League success: “Maybe because, you know, it is seven games. For this award it is seven games – the eighth-finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. When you win the Champions League, you will be there.

Pep Guardiola: “In the other ten or 11 months they don't care. For these kind of awards, maybe you have to win five titles or maybe Bernardo needs six. Maybe we have to win five or six or get 250 points to be considered to be there next season. We are going to try."

Pep Guardiola: "I am taking the p**s..."

Sarky lol

He seems quite pissed and rightly so.

Guardiola on @BernardoCSilva: "No player had a better season than Bernardo. In eight years, this club won four Premier Leagues so it is remarkable that never in these four seasons one of our players was nominated the best in the league. Never."

"We don’t have the history behind [us] but maybe in the future people are going to think, “OK, this club is doing things, because in eight years we won four Premier Leagues."

"And never won the player [of the year]: not Sergio, not David [Silva], not Vincent, not Yaya. The year [we won] 100 points: huge respect for Salah but Kevin de Bruyne was above and beyond. But it is opinions and we accept that the players don’t deserve it."

"I would rather do what we have done last season: not win the Champions League and win four titles in a season. I am sure it is not going to happen but it was really good. It doesn’t matter if the people aren’t considered for FIFA awards, not any player."

"These awards [FIFA - The Best] are only when you win the Champions League or are in the last stages. These other competitions do not count, not important. It’s seven games [from the round of 16]. That is fair."

"It’s an important tournament and difficult to win. But I am not going to go to the casino and gamble everything I have in my pocket on seven games. I don’t want that. I want to be happy for 11 months."

Bee firmly in bonnet lol

Pep Guardiola: “I’m pretty sure Liverpool would have liked to win the last Premier League. After 30 years not winning the Premier League, they would like to win the Premier League."

“It is incredibly good what they have done in the Champions League but I think winning the Premier League is really good. They were just one point behind but we were better by one point..."

Haha stick the knife in Pep and turn it.

Pep Guardiola on the Premier League vs the Champions League: "The Premier League always is the most important thing, the local competition because it is every weekend. The other one (Champions League) is about arriving in the right moment..."

"...one inch offside, no inches offside, decisions, referees, lots of injuries, the team is better than you. In one or two games many things can happen. I think in Europe we will be closer when we win more Premier Leagues. That is the right process."

I would love for City to win the Champions League but of course Pep is absolutely correct, the Premier League comes first.
Prestigious at the competition is, winning it does not necessarily mean you are the best team in Europe. Out of 50+ countries in UEFA, only around 10 ever get to the league stage.
For the top teams from Italy, Spain, France, Germany and the UK, getting to at least 2nd in the table is not too difficult and from there on in it is very much down to luck who you draw in the KO rounds (excluding any UEFA machinations!). Three teams to beat and your in the final
Liverpuddle claimed that City had a easy passage this year. Well that just proves the point then doesn't it? Luck does play a part in winning it. In the 'Prem there are no easy draws, no tough teams dodged, you play every team, 38 games, no away goals nonsense, no penalty deciders, no UEFA coefficient bollocks.
Everyone says the 'Prem is the hardest league in the world" and we've won it twice (once by a country mile). We are the winners of the world's hardest league and every other challenge in England, that trumps anything the Vatican X1 have won. Deluded or what!
