Well after watching last night and the previous two games for them, one thing is for certain for me.

Southampton away as a 3pm kickoff will see someone getting injured.

They were in bits by the end of yesterdays game. They can't keep this pace up so early!
Unfortunately they're playing a woeful Southampton.

‘ staying power ‘ ? They haven’t won a league title in over 30 years the deluded twats.
Outside of one 20 year period they've been pretty mediocre, a couple of flukey CL wins aside. They've either been pretty much where Arsenal are now or they've been in the second division.

Makes little difference, it's the travel that's going to get them.
If they've any brains they'll go direct from Istanbul to the south coast and get a loan of Bournemouth or Portsmouth's training facilities. Seeing as it's the dippers, they'll probably go back to Miseryside for an open top bus parade first.

And no doubt VAR will confirm the shocking dive, oops, the felling of Salah or Manê as being contrary to the LotG, and the latest leg up can be seen in glorious technicolor on MotD where Danny Moron will claim that the 0-000000000001 of a newton was sufficient force to send thirteen and fourteen stones players arse over tit, and of course, THERE WAS CONTACT!

At Wembley we really pressed up on the two full backs, especially Bernardo against Robertson. We flooded our midfield and Trent Alexander in particular was run ragged. They were pegged back in their own halves. But in the second half we ran out of energy and they came right back at us. Chelsea did it for a sections of the game last night but Liverpool seem to have amazing reslience and ability to come back off the ropes. They have proved this repeatedly with comebacks in Champions League games. Much as I dislike most of their fanbase I do respect them as a team.

Cheers for reply. Yep, their fitness levels did seem off the scale at times last year. Would be interested to see some stats for distance covered / sprints for their players vs rest of the league

Exactly. If there's contact hes within his rights to go down.what a twat saying that.Anybody with any self respect would stay on his feet and want to score

If the chavs knew the offside rule and not had 2 goals ruled out they would have won,the dippers are predictable now, long ball to salad and mane and you can get round the defence,if they carry that on then they won't do what they did last season

It was Chelsea who came back last night & should have won the game.
Yeah the dippers looked well off the pace from 65m or so onwards. They've had a full pre season as well, a longer one than we had. Klopp's teams have burned out before (with deeper squads and more rotation), wouldn't surprise me after 4 seasons if a lot of them were running on adrenaline towards the back end of last season and are fucked this season. Would love to see them get a few bad results early to see how they cope.
