He’s off again.
Klopp.
I can't say anything about what other teams are doing,' said Klopp. 'I don't know how they do it. We have to pay bills. Sorry! Everybody has to pay bills.
'We invested money in this team. Now it looks like we are not. But we are not in this fantasia land where you just get whatever you want.'
‘You cannot (spend) constantly,' he said. 'It looks like there are four clubs in the world who can. Madrid, Barcelona, City and PSG. Whatever they need, they do. You cannot compare. It is not a criticism. I know how people will take it, that I am jealous or whatever.
'I am not at all jealous! This year is not the end of LFC. Next year there will be another transfer window.
And agent feesPaid huge wages?
I'd use Numquam (never) instead of Non. It's more factual.Non nostra culpa ad victimam semper in letters 12 foot high on the stadium wall by morning (life of Brian)
I agree about the comparison to PSG. Lots of other football fans make it, just because City and PSG have Arab owners, and that's pretty low. There are as you say massive differences between the way City and PSG have operated. PSG went down the Real Madrid route of Galactico buys, City did not. Neither club should be targeted by the Man Utd's and Real Madrids of this world whose financial activity is unchecked and positively supported by their own leagues e.g. Tebas of La Liga, and the Premier League who actively make life easier for Man Utd. The Premier League want a strong Man Utd as it is part of what they see as their brand.Liverpool/Klopp is recieving criticism about the lack of spending, after last year's spending spree. But FSG business strategy is completely different from that of (for example) Manchester City.
Like he said, it's not really criticism, is just stating a fact.
City Football Group use Manchester City to spear head a long term strategy for global domination, and their business strategy go beyond Manchester City. They see no problem investing large amount of money now, with the potential of a much higher reward in the future. FSG is using a different strategy with much less risk taking and no other ambition than to make the individual company (Liverpool FC) grow.
What I would take offense to, if I was a City fan, is to be grouped together with PSG. PSG is a really strange project while City Football Group are on target to achieving their very ambitious goals.
If they fall short, their American owners should get a lot of criticism. They seem to be in it for the money, rather than the glory.Couthino money has finally ran out

Yes. Yes they are. When will it sink in with opposing fans, pundits, and the sports media in general that City no longer spend like they used to do on transfers when Sheikh Mansour first bought City? It won’t. ever.
Or are they going to keep on using the ‘transfer spending’ stick to beat City with?
