Var debate 2019/20

The drama of the PL is dependent on its speed and the amount of late goals it has. With the exeptikn of a couple of teams, it’s certainly not watched for its technical ability.
VAR will die when the overseas rights are next up for sale and the amount on offer is down hugely. Why watch the PL when the other leagues are playing better football and all the drama has been taken away?

No, i just assume if we take our chances like last weekend VAR can do what it likes and we'll be fine. When we piss arse about as we did today it can get us but on this occasion its perfectly right to do so.
“Perfectly right” is very much a stretch, mate, even though I do agree we are partly to blame for the outcome today (and have said as such elsewhere on here).

Interesting that on talksport they just said Oliver decided to take the VAR refs opinion rather than review himself even though they are encouraged to review any flagged one.

Seeing as even clattenberg has remarked Oliver is a shithouse and loves attention, no suprise the little twat never bothered.

I only half celebrated the Jesus goal as I expected what was coming

When you can’t celebrate a last minute winner against a title rival something is seriously seriously wrong

No point having screens for refs to look at

Seriously? That is basically tantamount to corruption.

Did they say how they know that Oliver did that?

Is handball not black/white, and thus doesn't need a screen review? I don't know what the protocol is for that, but offsides need no screen review, so it seems puzzling that handball would.

Obviously this is coloured by the source being the notoriously ill-informed Talksport.

Title rival my arse, we win leagues because we try and win every game, spurs were over the moon with the point they came for
