Var debate 2019/20

You just don't get it, my original post was without var Liverpool win 2 1 but you probably didn't read it as you wanted to get your claws out, reply to people with facts, not if they are in your little bluemoon gang, or don't reply at all

No because the whole game is changed at every decision. IF VAR had not intervened in the Liverpool equaliser the whole game would have panned out differently. So perhaps you are the one who should keep in your Bluemoon gang of argumentative disbelievers.

I’ve read so many people bringing out the old cliche ‘it’s a contact sport......’ to justify it not being a foul, but the reality is lindeloff kicked origi and it should of been a foul.

The people trying to justify it are the same people saying VAR is bent to favour Liverpool as they can’t admit VAR is just a shit stain across the PL.

Could not agree more. It was a clear foul but when your view is entrenched and you have spouted how its all fixed in Pools favour you have put yourself in the corner.

As night follows day they will be scrutinising future decisions and over blowing incidents to evidence corruption as potentially admitting City might fall short is too difficult for some.

Isn't this what Old Mother Riley wants? No on field decisions reversed? Just shows what a great job his officials do. VAR not needed here. Move along, nothing to see.

The Watford manager's remarks about VAR are interesting .............................
"I thought VAR would be objective but it appears to be subjective"
Take some examples .................
Spurs mustn't get beat by City
Leicester must not draw with Liverpool
Watford mustn't get their first win of the season against Spurs
United must not drop points again
There are many more controversial decisions in the few games played so far.
Refs made cock-ups year in year out which were grudging accepted. Today when the ref makes a mistake he doesn't care because VAR makes a decision and carries any flak.
That is spot on, it's all vars fault. Yesterday was the best result for var, in the eyes of pigmoland premier league. Dippers get done by var but doesn't cost them a defeat so they can now say its impartial, when fans of other teams scream it's not. The rags dont get beat so alls fair in sky tv/ history boys world.

A gained point for united is always good for the brand? What brand is that? The ‘united like to concede a late goal to draw at home’ brand? Not sure you’ve thought this through, mate :-)
It's more that Liverpool have won once in 13 visits to the swamp. Gives the Asian fans something to crow about. Not being beat by their big rivals (it's not a derby)

The problem I have with VAR - well one of the many problems actually - is the lack of accountability and transparency. Invisible people in a far away room, looking at footage we cannot see. Reviewing what they like, ignoring what they like.

Whether or not it's corrupt (it is by the way,), it's too wide open to corruption. And even if not corruption, then bias and unfairness without scrutiny or appeal - it's a shitty implementation of what ought to be an improvement.

So you think that the goal should have been disallowed?
That's not even the argument, If Var wanted to help Liverpool out they had every opportunity right there and then, and no one would of questioned it.

Even the Mane one they could of allowed it and said fuck it were going all out to help the scousers.

It's as if folk can't come to terms with Var not overruling that decision as its completely knocked their theory on it's only here to benefit Liverpool

I even think some would of wanted it disallowed just to prove a point.
