Do we even have to play in a 4-3-3?

Ederson
Walker Stones Otamendi Mendy
Rodri Fernandinho
Bernardo De Bruyne Jesus
Sterling
A double pivot? I like it. One of the original reasons Zinchenko played was his ability to transition into midfield and play as a double pivot. With him gone, maybe it’s time to play a more orthodox system like above. It would certainly bring some solidity...

Ron Atkinson,Mike Parry and Billy Smart? Weeere Doomed.

A corrupt cheat who will make tonight’s game even more difficult if he decides to give Burnley the advantage in 50-50 challenges as well as competition for the second ball.

Other than sound bites conferences are for just that.

The reason we have dropped 13 points in 14 games this year are many and in most seasons we would be around 5 points off the pace.

Injuries to important players that are difficult to replace and maintain the stability and intensity required to win games combined with ageing legs and the difficulty in staying motivated after two huge efforts in the previous seasons to win the title albeit in different circumstances is the best way I can sum it up.

The players we bought in over the summer are still finding their feet and been injured as well and the jury is still out as to whether they will be value for money and improve the team week in week out , they need all of this season and part of next injury free to see if they have what it takes.

Silva is past his best by a long way , still valuable but will not be a factor in as many games as in the past.

Kun and Ferny need replacing and we have no leader on and off the field playing wise and we need a leader , Liverpool have VVD we have Stones their is a huge gap in organisational ability and direction and presence in both boxes.

We are on target for 80 points enough for a top three finish.

Forget 14 wins on the spin its not going to happen this year and you can see the players are struggling , losing to Norwich , Wolves at home ( with their schedule of games ) , and dropping points to Spurs and Newcastle which had to to be bankers this year says a lot about how difficult it is to continue to climb the mountain when the gods are aligning for Liverpool to win their first title in 30 years.

Lets see how Mr Fair Play Dyche who is always moaning about other players going down easily sets his team out. No doubt the ref will do the usual of allowing them to kick the fuck out of us but every touch on them results in a dive and free kick for them to lump the ball in the box. Be usual 8 fouls (should be 20) and 1 yellow to them and 14 fouls and 5 yellows to us
I fear the same.

Then Pep needs to go.

If he's literally unable to see that, he's not as good as we think.
What an absurd comment. His record at City is second to none and I include Fagan, Paisley, Clough, Ferguson, Wenger and Mourinho. Not one of these luminaries of the game ever won a domestic treble or 100 points and goals in a season.

I'm sure this has already been mentioned but if you are watching on Amazon Prime tonight make sure you turn off any City related notifications on your phone. By all accounts what you see on the screen will be nearly a minute behind real time!
