A sensible, pragmatic young lady.
Voters remember, though.Won't matter once we have actually left, and he's otherwise a decent politician.
No point other than lower levels of homelessness than under any Tory government of the last 40 years, record investment in the NHS and shorter waiting times than any Tory government ever, record investment in state education.A labour party that stuck to a Bennite position would have won. There is no point in a Blairite labour party, no point at all.
David Milliband. The country needs a center-left Labour party with a strong leader. Not sure who falls into that. Starmer? Benn? Cooper?
Certainly not a leader who has publicly opposed leaving the EU, dismissed leave voters opinions and actively campaigns to remain.
Benn is not the right choice if Labour wants to reconnect with the vote they've just emphatically lost.
I'm talking immediate campaigning. You seem to be assuming that supporting brexit is the only route to power. I disagree, support for brexit has been tracking at sub 50% for the last year at least.
I know what you are saying, but surely the brexit ship debate has sailed on. Political leaders need to move on from that debate? Benn is an astute politician and he speaks very well. It would clearly be up to him if he wanted to take on the challenge of moving the labour party to the center left of British Politics.Certainly not a leader who has publicly opposed leaving the EU, dismissed leave voters opinions and actively campaigns to remain.

Fair enough, so I take it you wouldn't support any of the current Labour front bench then? Who would you have?Bt people remember.
Look if no-one wants to listen, fine, but I'd be one of many who wouldn't support Labour if he's the leader, and I feel others feel the same way as he would seek to reverse the decision to leave and promote rejoining.

The Labour vote was down 6% and the Tory vote up 3% in Remain voting seats. The problem wasn’t Brexit, it was Corbyn.I'm talking immediate campaigning.
Leave voters won't forget this in a hurry. It wasn't just Labour leavers, Labour lost, it was wider, moderate leave voters. You want to get that support back? People like Phillips, Benn, Starmer, Thornberry are NOT the way forward. It's like nothing has been learned!
Correct, I wouldn't have any of the current front benchers.Fair enough, so I take it you wouldn't support any of the current Labour front bench then? Who would you have?
Never said it was solely down to brexit. Don't know where you got that from. The Labour vote was down 6% and the Tory vote up 3% in Remain voting seats. The problem wasn’t Brexit, it was Corbyn.
She's certainly not a GILF
No I can't and that is the problem with Labour. You're in a double bind then, all the cosy Blair lookalikes were/are remainers.
I'll be happy if you can correct me, but can you think of a nice, cosy leaver in the Labour Party?
