They’d give them a home game to start the season and present it then. If teams can keep it mathematically possible for them not to win it before some form of sporting suspension, I can’t see how they could be handed it.

From a sporting point of view, as much as I’d love for them to can the season, and as much as it knocks me sick to say it, they have been deserving. Now where’s that bucket so I can go and throw up...

They don’t deserve the steam from by piss. They’ve been helped and cajoled by all and sundry. Yes we’ve been poor but we had the stuffing knocked out of us time after time this season to stop us from competing with them.

I must admit to FB being an occasional guilty pleasure along with McColgans (unfortunately the latter don't keep long enough to be stockpiled).

I'm relying on living on a farm halfway up a mountain with it's own water source, electricity supply and my usual doomsday level of stockpiled food if it gets bad here. Oh and the dog army (11 of them now) and lots of bullets.

It's not like a world cup 3rd place, but it's still a world 3rd place! Yay! We've even beaten the Japs, but Iran is still high on our heels; a couple wins and some questionable referee decisions in their favour and they might rob us of our placement.

Nothing in the Czech Republic too which is surprising giving its central location, heavily touristed capital city (lots of Chinese visitors too) and the Czechs like to go skiing in northern Italy.

Also surprising that I read Kuwait was evacuating its citizens from Thailand due to the virus, yet they have more cases in Kuwait than in Thailand!
 
Postponements and games behind closed doors are almost inevitable at this point, cancelling the league will take a severe outbreak and it will have to happen in the next few weeks before they mathematically win it. Any later and even if the season became null and void they’d likely still give Liverpool the title as it would be impossible for them to lose it.

If we win on Sunday it could be the only legitimate trophy won all season. Would be typical for us to get to the champions league final only for us not to be allowed to go or play it but I’d make that sacrifice if it stops Liverpool winning the league and we get to remain champions.

I’m off to cough on a scouser.

They'd never do that, WHO can't be that corrupt. This tournament was created with worldwide inclusion in mind, you can't just wake up one morning and decide that a perfectly respectable tactic as is passing the virus back is disallowed. And why? Just because Italians do it efficiently and it isn't pretty to see? It allows us to keep the virus circulating between us for more time when we are winning, but it's not like other teams can't try and get it from us.

Goodness knows how this will effect football - I think they will try to play UEFA, Premier League and Championship games behind closed doors to begin with, but I don't think that will last as some Italian football players are currently infected.
How do you feel about it - especially the way it will effect our beloved MCFC?

My speculation is very low penetration of the virus into the general population but massive disruption to work, football and daily activities.
