We're gonna have one almighty fixture pile-up. They should scrap the upcoming international break and fit club fixtures in.

It’s all over, mate. Right now the FA, Sky etc and the premier league will be just negotiating the best way to announce. No doubt trying to cram a few more games in for financial reasons and endangering more of the public.
A decision needs to be made today.

If they did suspend football in this country could they not recommence the fixtures in 6 weeks time potentially when the peak of the out break has passed? Then have a smaller preseason and follow it on with the new seasons fixtures? A lot of vested interests with prize money, promotion and relegation will be pushed from the clubs to just abandon the season and just start a fresh.

The problem is, the vast numbers of people involved, it only takes one or two new cases and we are back to square one

Yeah, but it'll be even more hilarious if the league season is called null and void - which I think there's a serious possibility if a vaccine isn't developed by before next August.
