We'll see. But bear in mind that no "expert" is going to lowball their forecast on this because there is nothing to gain. If they underestimate they can never be "experts" again (doing a Michael Fish) but if they exaggerate and the actual figures are lower, they can acclaim the efficacy of the "precautions" taken as a result of their dire warnings.
Well yeh agreed, but you just have to look at the first weeks in italy where its currently 4 to 5 percent mortality rate. As soon as the NHS is saturated if nit already, that percentage will soar.

No mate, will happen the first week of the Easter hols for two weeks. Guaranteed.Schools in Rep of Ireland closed as of today. Just attended a meeting after school today...no closure yet but they are planning for the likelyhood of it...feeling is (but no one really knows) that it will be very likely to happen in about a week (country wide)... nothing concrete though

actually, the data from the Chinese studies make clear the infection rate and the mortality rate. The judgments aren’t statistical, they are about how you transpose Chinese infection rates to UK conditions. Italy however is likely to be much closer to home in terms of infection rates because the way they live their lives in northern Italy is not that different to the way we do.
but even if “only” 1 million get it, that’s still 10,000 dead.

So you don't think it is a big risk to continue playing PL games with fans attending at present?It's not the Premier League's decision to make. If the government say it's not needed then why would they go against it?

Surely, for the Premier League themselves, it would be easier and cleaner if they cancelled it before liverpool mathematically win it, rather than after, when thwy have to deal with the coplications of who gets what qualification for which uefa competition, who gets relegated etc. If the whole thing is canned and everyone accepts it as null. Otherwise, it is selective and there really is no fair way to do that.

More or less what I said the other day! Cull the elderly, save on State pension and health care! We, the elderly, are just badgers or foxes to be culled and thinned out. There’s too many of us.
Yes , seams like rest of the world doing one thing but we have this master plan that nobody else has thought of !
Look around you and the wondrous inventions and ideas out of the UK, we often do things differently and for good reason.

i work in the NHS and it is on its knees through the toriesThey’ve underfunded the NHS to such a diabolical extent over the last 10 years that it’s currently so stretched, their only plan is to manage the rate at which people get this to try to delay the peak to the warmer summer months when the NHS is under less pressure.
They’ve even put a call out to retired NHS workers to jump back in and help out.
But at least they “got Brexit done”. ****s.

They had the two leading medical officers on with Bojo and they were suggesting the risks were quite low and only likely to effect one or two persons rather than vast numbers of the crowd.
Not sure if it is true, and seems different to the guidance across europe. I suppose only time will tell but I understand the Premierships position of following the guidance provided by the experts and government policy.
