Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

I agree. I can’t believe people are bothered whether a team wins a league or not. It’s just totally irrelevant currently. Is football really that important?

As for the message that bloke has posted, it is clearly tragic for them but he is wrong about not knowing what is coming. We actually do know what’s coming.

My concern currently is whether my mum will still be alive in 6 months and whether I’ll still have a job.
Pretty disgraceful that Carragher's first thought is the Prem trophy.

Anyone else not that bothered about the season ending now? Var, uefa, media hatred for City and the weird dipper cult phenomenon has really got me disinterested in football. Thought I would never say this but actually looking forward to doing other things on the weekend. Sad because ever since I was kid footballs always come first.

Well said mate. I've felt that way for a few days, ever since this really started to escalate. Now we know exactly where we stand and hopefully we can come back next season re-energised. Like you, I never thought I'd feel this way, but it is what it is.

Football in Europe 'braced for shutdown until SEPTEMBER' as UEFA meet https://mol.im/a/8110439 via http://dailym.ai/android

FA chairman Greg Clarke tells Premier league chiefs he doesn't think the domestic football season will be completed.
I know it's in The Mail and is still speculation but if that's it til September then that's it, this season over.

September is very very optimistic.
