Just for clarification, Johnson is conscious, not on a ventilator and was taken into IC about two hours ago as a precaution as his condition worsened today.

Yeah Italian doctors said that pretty much everyone who ended up in intensive care over there were overweight. Boris isn’t in good shape, he’s 55, and could have problems with stress due to his job which could lead to some health problems.

Think I read somewhere that very few people with a BMI under 18% have had a bad case of this at all in this country. Then it gradually gets higher in correlation with BMI increases.

Agreed. I'm pretty apolitical really. Certainly with regards to UK politics, as I don't live there anymore. But, he's a human being at the end of the day. With family (including a pregnant partner). Some of the stuff on here earlier, that we cleaned up while the thread was locked, was pretty shabby, putting it mildly.

well even at Boris's age he's only just out of his prime by 10 years or so and the cases in italy when they filmed the wards it wasnt an evacuation of care homes those peope were middle aged and didnt look old,maybe another strain,my guess its your genetic make up maybe victims have something missing in that genetic code that the majority have

Well I had that cough probably just under 3mths with slight chest,didn't stop me going to work were others did,one person I no only got rid off it in March,

It really hits home when the guy you think would be most secure, with access to the best treatment possible, ends up in intensive care anyawy. Feels totally surreal. It's fucking scary tbh and it makes you feel so vulnerable... I really hope he pulls through. I think this country needs it to be honest, regardless of your political leanings.

It is why the media are entitled to ask some of the questions they are doing tbh. Ten days with a temperature and working through it is not the way to fight a virus. I’m sure he’s stubborn when it comes to wanting to keep working, it is legitimate to ask whether people really tried to stop him though and whether that’s a wise thing to do.

Lets hope he does still have the best medical treatment and this is them taking every possible step though, which is still a potential scenario.
