Scariest away day following City

Rafters was underneath Fagins and was one of THE IN places to be seen in during the mid-late 70s.
As you walked down the stairs into the reception area there was a huge photo of Jimmy Cagney dressed as a 1930s gangster,
(Taken from one of the many gangster films that JC appeared in,I presume).
They wouldn’t have let me in Manclad, Genevieves, kloisters or Pips for me , Pips was brilliant

I met the wife in Nickelbys on a blind date (set up by my mate and her sister) and we walked down Canon Street to Pips and spent the rest of the night in there.(3/3/1979) .Great place was Pips, a room/style of music to suit all tastes.
