Yes, he died, a handgun I think, some guy from Chorlton shot him. A group of lads, bouncers kicked them out and they were battling, bouncers put the windows in in their car. This guy goes home to get his gun. Johnny Ash was on the door, they were all trying to get up that narrow staircase to get away

Brannigans, that was some gaff, I remember one of the first early derby day kick offs at Maine Road, game finished one each, we ended up in Brannigans, it was horrible, City n United under one roof, didn't take long for it to kick off, vicious, spread to Shambles square and beyond, a day n night of fun n games.
