Nope,the key issues were as I posted,we went off our own way,stopped testing,went for herd immunity and were still going to mass gatherings,as was boris,they had to change when football shut down and even then didn't want to,time wastedUnlikely.
Getting our bueucacracy to move quickly is an anathama.
For things to improve, the command structure would have to have been flattened. Embedding the army to monitor what was going on at the coal face would also have to be done and distributing power to the peripheries would also have to happen as well as harnessing universities and the private sector without the dead hand of beauracracy getting in the way.
Strategic and tactical flexibility is NOT delivered by UK government or NHS beuracracy.

The big question is why is this virus killing many people and yet barely making others ill at all. Instead of pinning our hopes on a vaccine which almost certainly will not be here in time, I think we have a more realistic chance of finding a drug or cocktail of drugs which means you just get sick, but much less so, and you don't actually die.
