Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

All they bang on about is the integrity of the game. I’d respect them a lot more if they just admitted it’s about the money. The longer they delay accepting the only genuine option is to cancel the season and the more idiotic suggestions they put forward the less integrity the game has.

Wonder if "Integrity" is urban slang for "Money"?

Rugby union people talking of uncontested scrums being introduced to get their sport back.
We'll have basketball with no hoops and high board diving with no water in the pool next.

Why ? What about keeping the integrity of the league. I have heard because players put their hands on the goal post at corners , jumpers are to be used instead.

Very interesting, if true. All the behind the scenes stuff I have seen points to schools gradually opening 1st June with Year 6 pupils in small groups.

I think this is the Ireland government roadmap.

Well we now have the second highest number of deaths in Europe. That should get the foreign players rolling back to play meaningless matches

Gordon Taylor with his two short halves plan.
Two short planks seems more appropriate.

I think this is the Irish one that they set out a few days ago. It mentions GAA in the text...

It makes sense so hopefully our lot come up with something similar.
