My union has teamed up with two other unions and their last message told us that unless the government can ensure their conditions for returning to work can be met, that we should not return to work.
Quite right too. I suspect there will be more about this in the 50 page document being discussed tomorrow.
There was a certificate on the graphics today so I suspect the HSE will get involved if unions andmanagement can't agree or complaints are made.

So everyone who can't work from home needs to get back to work if they can, but they hope shops and schools might open in stage 2? Meanwhile they will be planning on sorting out some guidelines on how to safely get back to work, but they are telling everyone to go back to work before those guidelines have been sorted out?

in a nutshell, yes. What can possibly go wrong

And what sort of fuckwit thinks it's a good idea to tell people they should go back to work at 7.00pm the day before it should happen?

I give it two weeks before we are back to the previous stay safe stay at home advice. Germany relaxed their lockdown and cases have started increasing again. Everyone cramped up on busses and trains getting to work will see the exact same result here.

Guidelines are simple, social distancing still applies, don’t share items if possible, wash hands etc, don’t be shaking hands and kissing people etc. It’s not that hard to understand. Each company is responsible to ensure its employees can return to work safely.

It’s from Wednesday.

Agreed it's a huge problem. I'm just quoting what he's said. People are going to have to make some very difficult decisions.

If your employer tells you he's opening up on Monday and your only form of transport is the tube in the centre of London, what are you supposed to do?

Not go in? And put yourself and your family in a difficult position financially?

Go in? And possibly catch something and then risk spreading it to your loved ones?

I've worked throughout this lockdown as many have. Not because I thought it was 100% safe to do so but because if I didn't I wouldn't get paid.
Ring in and say you've got a cough...

Cafes end of june bars end of aug sept, 5 aside footy end of june , exercise unlimited but only with family member ,anyone working in construction industry and people who cant work from home can return to work.
Clear as mud!:))
thanks - watching it on Youtube now too.

I wonder how many more people this (people going back to work) affects and if we now have the testing capacity to match the new numbers?

“So, work from home if you can, but you should go to work if you can’t work from home.”

Social Distancing not mentioned. He explicitly mentioned construction, impossible to always be 2 metres from a colleague there.
Social distancing was mentioned, it is still to be maintained.
