I've just done this for an 8k run, occasionally walking when my heart rate approached 130. 122 is my target, and I managed to keep it at around 125 for most of the run.I was reading Maffetone and Jason Fitzgerald yesterday. Has anyone tried running in Heart Rate zone 2 for the entire run?
I could breathe through my nose for all of the run, and I felt I could have kept going for much longer. It was strange going so slow, but still enjoyable. It felt that without the heat, I might not even have broken sweat. I'll stick with it for a while.
