Do a quick search on google. A significant number of arrests are turning out to be FR infiltrators and I spoke to a friend who lives in Atlanta on Saturday night who told me this was going on prior to it making any of the news outlets. This is happening, it's not conspiracy bullshit.

There's 2 scenarios I see.

1 is just good old fashioned PR. Not all cops are idiots, we're 5 days into these protests and they can see whats blowing up on social media, and that includes police showing solidarity, and it lets them look a lot more reasonable.

2, the less cynical view, is that senior police officers come down to the protest, speak to the protesters, lead the officers they're in charge of in showing solidarity, and then move on to the next part of town, leaving the rank and file who quickly revert back to default.
