Serious query, is Khaldoon a royal?
This is a nonsense rumour. The AC will have considered the evidence submitted by City. It may have taken a view on its importance but it will have reviewed it.By all accounts UEFA didn’t even look at our evidence so I’m hoping they got a shock when/if they saw any at CAS.
- They want to set up a 16 team European Super League with 11 founding members guaranteed membership for 20 years with 5 other transient clubs, changing every 4 years.
- It will be a normal league with a play off knock out to determine the eventual winners
- The Secret Seven behind it are: Arsenal, United, Real, Barca, Bayern, Milan & Juventus
- The other 4 founders were to be: Chelsea, PSG, City & Liverpool.
- The 5 others initially were: Athletico Madrid, Dortmund, Inter Milan, Marseille and Roma.
There's a report (https://thisisfutbol.com/2020/06/bl...city-sam-lee-provides-update-on-european-ban/) quoting him as follows:He didn’t say he had any information tbf. Just said it was his gut feeling about it being a halfway house.
Sam lee just said he can see it being a 1year reduced ban of the limited infirmation he has tbf i dont think hes got a scooby!
If City are part of that plot then I am disappointed in the club. Yes the riches on offer are untold. The damage to our league as a result the same. This all kicked off with 4 articles in Der Spiegel in 2018, however the week before this article appeared about the Secret Seven and was Der Spiegel's first article on Football Leaks. Very little coverage has been given to this article in the UK, other than threat of a European Breakaway Superleague. It is very long, the implications dramatic and surprising how close it is to happening.

Key points are:

- The 5 others initially were: Athletico Madrid, Dortmund, Inter Milan, Marseille and Roma.
- Each club will earn €500m from TV rights each season, making it a no brainer to join.
- Games will be played midweek and at weekends necessitating the clubs to resign from their domestic leagues and UEFA.
- The limited company was set up in Spain with major shareholders Real Madrid 18.77%, Barcelona 17.61%, Manchester United 12.58% & Bayern Munich 8.29%. These 4 clubs would own 57.25%. The shares held by the other 3 of the Secret Seven are not disclosed, but is likely to take ownership to over 75%.
- The legally binding agreement was due to be signed in Spain by the 11 founding clubs on 02 Nov 2018, with the league starting in the 2021 season. It's not clear if that means 20/21 or 21/22.
- Rummenigge is slated for being totally duplicitous in his public statements compared to his private actions, leading other clubs up the garden path with his lies.
What we don't know is:
- whether it was signed in the end by all the 11?
- what impact Coronavirus will have on this plan?
However, we know that many of the Secret Seven have been active in piling the pressure on City over the FFP situation, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a link between the two. For example, I find it hard to beleive City would join as anything less than an equal shareholder, and if City didn't sign, being banned from Europe would surely coerce them into subsequently signing. After all €500m is a big wedge.
To my mind this is more damning than City's FFP case because it rips up the fabric of football forever. We know the G14 threatened this 20 years ago, and it has never gone away. Perhaps this time it is going ahead?

Maybe not....fighting for PL along with the Spuds and a rejuvenated Newcastle ?Well Burnley are going to be disappointed
It was all a very provisional term sheet and absolutely City were involved. https://images.app.goo.gl/g7ejF41JATFr9wG9AI thought it had been established since that City weren’t one of the 11 clubs at all
What a disgraceful ****.
Nice to see we’ve got some allies now in the Geordies.
There's a report (https://thisisfutbol.com/2020/06/bl...city-sam-lee-provides-update-on-european-ban/) quoting him as follows:
"Obviously, I can’t see a settlement saying that City don’t get banned at all. I don’t think you ever would be very happy with that."
He's entitled to his opinion about the outcome but I don't like the comment that he would be unhappy if City won the appeal (assuming he's been reported correctly).
They'll be moving into yet another ground before that happens.Spurs to win the league in 2022?
Well that would certainly make the German, French, Spanish, Italian and possibly English Premier Leagues a whole lot more interesting.
They obvs misheard "you-ay-fa".He said he'd heard speculation/rumour there might be a settlement.
He said in that scenario he can't imagine City accepting a 1 year ban unless they thought they were bang to rights (ie not confident in their position).
In that context (ie IF City bang to rights) "I can’t see a settlement saying that City don’t get banned at all. I don’t think UEFA would be very happy with that."
So this is futbol have both misquoted him ( used the words "you ever" rather than "UEFA") AND taken what he actually said out of context.
He also said we wouldn’t get any ban and we got 2 on this subject he like the rest of us hasn’t got a clueSam lee just said he can see it being a 1year reduced ban of the limited infirmation he has tbf i dont think hes got a scooby!
Not if you're a fan of any team other than the breakaway clubs - What is meaningless are leagues where the same team wins every year - Celtic, Bayern, Juventus, PSG.And arguably meaningless
Thanks for that, what I thought. For all his connections the Gill, Parry American owners and press do more damage to City than anything City or City directors can stop. Unless, we come out of CAS exonerated and some action is taken against those behind the never ending attacks against City.I think the answer is No.
His father was Ambassador to France for Abu Dhabi/UAE (not sure which) and was murdered in Paris when Khaldoon was a youngster.
There’s an interview with an American business guru on YouTube in which a Khaldoon talks about his early days.
One has to believe Khaldoon is better connected than Gill, Parry and Fenwick Sports put together.
He was talking about UEFA. It’s this weeks Totally Football Show if you want to listen. He’s not very insightful and knows a great deal less than several on this thread. There's a report (https://thisisfutbol.com/2020/06/bl...city-sam-lee-provides-update-on-european-ban/) quoting him as follows:

I thought the lower chamber, IC, only sent to the upper chamber ,AC, what evidence they had looked at. If that is the case the upper chamber, AC, may never have considered Citys dossier of evidence. The lower chamber didn't look I believe, presumably the upper chamber did. Either way they had the evidence to look at, at any time.
