Serious query, is Khaldoon a royal?

I think the answer is No.

His father was Ambassador to France for Abu Dhabi/UAE (not sure which) and was murdered in Paris when Khaldoon was a youngster.

There’s an interview with an American business guru on YouTube in which a Khaldoon talks about his early days.

One has to believe Khaldoon is better connected than Gill, Parry and Fenwick Sports put together.

- They want to set up a 16 team European Super League with 11 founding members guaranteed membership for 20 years with 5 other transient clubs, changing every 4 years.
- It will be a normal league with a play off knock out to determine the eventual winners
- The Secret Seven behind it are: Arsenal, United, Real, Barca, Bayern, Milan & Juventus
- The other 4 founders were to be: Chelsea, PSG, City & Liverpool.
- The 5 others initially were: Athletico Madrid, Dortmund, Inter Milan, Marseille and Roma.

What's glaringly obvious about this is that the EPL simply isn't in anything like the same position as the other leagues. The French and German leagues have become completely boring, and will be for the foreseeable future. And you want to talk about one club talking about hoovering up all the domestic talent at will, it certainly isn't us! Just mention Bayern and P.S.G.
The EPL generates worldwide income on a level that the other leagues can't compete with. And one of the reasons for this is that it attract players from all over the world. Another is that there is a level of passion that concerns all 20 clubs. That is real, and it's something that foreign observers constantly note. And thirdly, despite it all, there have been five clubs who have been champions (assuming LFC will be this year) since 2012. Who can say as much for most of the other leagues involved? If any?

He didn’t say he had any information tbf. Just said it was his gut feeling about it being a halfway house.
There's a report (https://thisisfutbol.com/2020/06/bl...city-sam-lee-provides-update-on-european-ban/) quoting him as follows:

"Obviously, I can’t see a settlement saying that City don’t get banned at all. I don’t think you ever would be very happy with that."

He's entitled to his opinion about the outcome but I don't like the comment that he would be unhappy if City won the appeal (assuming he's been reported correctly).

This all kicked off with 4 articles in Der Spiegel in 2018, however the week before this article appeared about the Secret Seven and was Der Spiegel's first article on Football Leaks. Very little coverage has been given to this article in the UK, other than threat of a European Breakaway Superleague. It is very long, the implications dramatic and surprising how close it is to happening.

Key points are:

- They want to set up a 16 team European Super League with 11 founding members guaranteed membership for 20 years with 5 other transient clubs, changing every 4 years.
- It will be a normal league with a play off knock out to determine the eventual winners
- The Secret Seven behind it are: Arsenal, United, Real, Barca, Bayern, Milan & Juventus
- The other 4 founders were to be: Chelsea, PSG, City & Liverpool.
- The 5 others initially were: Athletico Madrid, Dortmund, Inter Milan, Marseille and Roma.
- Each club will earn €500m from TV rights each season, making it a no brainer to join.
- Games will be played midweek and at weekends necessitating the clubs to resign from their domestic leagues and UEFA.
- The limited company was set up in Spain with major shareholders Real Madrid 18.77%, Barcelona 17.61%, Manchester United 12.58% & Bayern Munich 8.29%. These 4 clubs would own 57.25%. The shares held by the other 3 of the Secret Seven are not disclosed, but is likely to take ownership to over 75%.
- The legally binding agreement was due to be signed in Spain by the 11 founding clubs on 02 Nov 2018, with the league starting in the 2021 season. It's not clear if that means 20/21 or 21/22.
- Rummenigge is slated for being totally duplicitous in his public statements compared to his private actions, leading other clubs up the garden path with his lies.

What we don't know is:

- whether it was signed in the end by all the 11?
- what impact Coronavirus will have on this plan?

However, we know that many of the Secret Seven have been active in piling the pressure on City over the FFP situation, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a link between the two. For example, I find it hard to beleive City would join as anything less than an equal shareholder, and if City didn't sign, being banned from Europe would surely coerce them into subsequently signing. After all €500m is a big wedge.

To my mind this is more damning than City's FFP case because it rips up the fabric of football forever. We know the G14 threatened this 20 years ago, and it has never gone away. Perhaps this time it is going ahead?
If City are part of that plot then I am disappointed in the club. Yes the riches on offer are untold. The damage to our league as a result the same.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that if the league were to go ahead that FIFA wouldn’t allow any player from that new league to participate in its competitions. i.e the players couldn’t represent their countries, so no World Cups or Euro’s. Even friendlies need FIFA approval.

I thought it had been established since that City weren’t one of the 11 clubs at all
