I disagree. CB’s were amateurish at times. The main issue was certainly the pressing from midfield causing them to be exposed but individually, other than Silva, our biggest issue was a lack of someone good enough to play alongside Fernandinho. We ain’t winning anything with Otamendi at 32 or John Stones in the mentality fragility he’s displayed, so it certainly is our one of two biggest issues.

Not sure about that Stones and Otamendi had pretty poor seasons without Laporte beside them. Fernandinho excellent as he at the basics isn’t a natural centre back and is still adjusting the role.

Another season without a Kompany replacement gives Liverpool a head start.

We’ve already pretty much lost Sané’s X factor that was so good against Liverpool. He’s scored and assisted against them regularly as well as winning a penalty at Anfield. That’s been a significant loss this season.

If at the end of the transfer window nothing comes of his predictions then he will look foolish, and if he is right then people can start to take notice .

we have had 6 TOP Internationals in Attack.
we have had 6 TOP Internationals in Midfield.

I know of one manager who rather enjoys a bloated squad. it Gives him the chance to tinker and overthink to a greater extent.

you have to be 22 years old to be on the A list CL & Prem League list.

I think some people don't like when someone says a deal is done when nothing is signed yet. I remember few summers ago, you had some people saying Jorginho was done and while their information about the very mutual interest was true, we saw it could change very quickly as the market is very volatile.

If you look at the top journalist on transfers like Fabrizio Romano, he will tell you the strong interest of some clubs for some player but will hold on the "Here we go" until it is done done.

Di Marzio said Neymar was signing for Barça last year and it didn't materialize and he got a lot of shit for that.

Completely disagree with this assessment.

Bayern were already trying to drive the price down as much as possible. What this move does is take the pressure from Sane’s agent away from us and on to Bayern.

This is basically City saying to Bayern either pay up or accept you will have to wait another year to get him. It’s telling Sane to have a word with Bayern or risk not getting much football next year.

It’s not like City are demanding a ridiculous valuation either. Anything under £60 million is a bargain in today’s market for a player of Sane’s calibre.

This boils down to Sane agreeing terms with Bayern and rejecting City and Bayern trying the haggle the fee down as low as possible. Both of those parties have been playing us like a fiddle.

I for one, am glad the club has come out and put this nonsense to bed. If the move doesn’t materialise this summer, Sane should be asking serious questions of Bayern.

The statement makes no difference to any bargaining, the bargaining parties would all know anyway. The only people the statement makes any difference to is fans and we all pretty much knew as well too anyway.

If anything Bayern as much as they want him might be glad to have the years reprieve - can bring in Havertz and then get Sane next year for no fee. Still bolstering their attack and rebuilding for the future, then next year they sign the one they wanted all along on a free and still have money in the budget to fill holes elsewhere they might have by then.

Issue is with Sane being available on a free for Bayern is Juve love a free, Barca/Madrid/PSG certainly won't turn down the opportunity & could probably offer bigger wages too

And that's why I'm skeptical of your list of 7/8. We've had ready made/22+ yrs old players all this time, why would we suddenly scrap that when its delivered us the best success ever just to sign players who look like top prospects? With the new brexit rules on player signings I've no issue with City going out and buying say 15 youngsters for academy/loan etc to get the top talents in Europe tied down but I don't see it for the first team.

Foden has been dripfed minutes, Doyle/Garcia/THB dripfed minutes, yet City will turn round and say all these youngsters are good enough now to be regular appearance makers whilst you four earned your place through being shining lights of the academy? What does it say to Cole Palmer, Jayden Braaf etc when we just buy players in their positions whilst they're earning their spots in the academy and yet to debut? That's before we even get on to the current first teamers.

Aouar and Almada look like genuinely good and realistic options. Bastoni does too. But I don't believe we're putting all this faith in youth when we've shown very little sign of that for 12 years under the Sheikh

Bayern's attack is completely overrated man. People in football have such a short term memory. Just this past summer Bayern's squad was in a crisis, with the players saying they can't challenge in 2 fronts. But now they are the best team in Europe? Based on their form in the Bundesliga... Which is fair to be honest but:

From his list I can see Aouar, Bastoni, Almada being in and around the first team, Ait Nouri maybe if Zinchenko and Angelino go. After that maybe Camavinga if Gundogan went. Traore and Ihatteren are two I struggle to see getting into the squad of 25 next season at least Doyle and Braaf would get in as club trained U21.

Personally have no idea whether Ezzy wil be correct or not, I’ve enjoyed his posts because it’s created a good discussion on the direction our squad is taking over the next couple of seasons as we finally see the old guard leave.

I have no problem with his post and Ezzy either.

However, every fanbase has its lot of ITK and i know some PSG fans who are strongly against them. They feel they are abusing the feelings of the fanbase. Selling hope, attention seeker, trolls.
Since i don't believe in anything until it is strongly reported by several verified sources (and even then i wait for the club official tweet), i don't have any problem with that. I have even noticed that some of them while, at the end of the window, have a lot of wrong informations, they had some good exclusive informations never mentioned before that materialized.

You just have to take their informations with a pinch of salt because even if they are honest, they can be fed false information unknowingly by their sources (sometimes the source itself is fed false information) or the information was true but things changed quickly.
