very good point

We ain't getting £22m for Otamendi - he's about to enter the final year of his contract and with the market downturn, allied to his wages, he would be a fool to leave this summer.
Unless Newcastle are daft enough to pay us £50m for Stones, he will still be here next season too.
These guys are all on massive wages already.
If we bring him in, I hope that we also bring in another decent centre back - someone like Ake.
Sell stones and otamendi.
Then play laporte and koulibaly in nearly every game with garcia and Ake being the back ups.
Ferna back into midfield
£40m for John Stones?!Would it not make sense for us to Get the wages off the books? At £40mill I'd snap either Newcastle or Arsenal's hands off. For John personally would think he'd want to play in a euro's season so might reduce his wages if the move was right, could benefit from a change of scenery in his personal life too.
Would city take £10mill for Nico to get his wages off the books?
A £20million outlay to finally sort out our centre back position for 5 year would be a steal.
Forget that. This is a must. Around 4/5 years of a world class c/b outweighs absolutely anything else compared to strengthening our shambolic defence
There's a chance. Napoli might want Zinchenko also.
£40m for John Stones?!
I think we'd struggle to get £14m. People seem to be living in a fantasy world with some of our player valuations.
With the money they are supposed to get, why wouldn't they be an option? Not an option he is likely to consider but an option never the lessNewcastle.
Bullshit tweet.
Nail on the head.
I can’t believe so many want 21 year old Upamecano, or Ruben Diaz who is 23 or other young CBs that will anyway cost £40m+.
It’s just too big of a gamble. I can’t imagine them coming in and adapting immediately. Of course you have the odd player like Laporte who was immediately class and slotted right in but it’s rare.
Koulibaly has all the attributes to slot right in, firstly he’s comfortably top 3 in the world in his position, second he has years of possession football under Sarri, has the pace and physicality needed for the premier league, he speaks French, Italian and apparently English as well. It would be more of a surprise if he didn’t fit right in.
Get it done.
Heard it all before? You mean the 2 seasons before this when we also struggled to finish top 4, Yes right.Ain't going to happen we've heared it all before,
Be a great signing if it did, but I think we'll keep the same team next season just tweak it a bit here and there and struggle to finish in the top four.
Just my opinion

But they would be able to put up a offer Napoli would be willing to accept wouldn't they? So an option? You lemonIf he wouldn't consider them, they can't possibly be an option, you lemon.
No chance - will be signing a new five-year deal before the end of next month.

They can fuck off re Zin.
When Mendy gets injured 3 seconds into the opening game of next season we're fucked if Zin isn't here.
