CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Your problem is you think anything but unfettered propaganda for the club is anti-city.

Opening an article which is about how Pep went off tangent from a normal question to have a massive go at Arsenal by pointing out how Pep has a habit of going off on tangents is not an attack on City.

Your problem is that you think you’re the guard dog of any City related discussion and discourse. You believe your opinion is the only one that matters and that any other is wrong. Even people running the club aren’t safe from this approach.

If I think the Athletic often portray Pep in a negative light, rarely highlighting his achievements, then that’s my right. It’s hardly a controversial subject.

I have no issue with you voicing your opinion, but do when you make up lies like "not at all from City's POV" - which is an objective lie. The article is literally written from Citys perspective airing all of their grievances with Arsenal in chronological order.

If you don't want people to correct you when you lie, dont lie, it's not hard

I can assure you that the opening sets the tone and that it isn’t at all from City’s perspective (in my opinion).

If you see it differently then I don’t believe it to be a lie.

Anyway, happy to put you on ignore.

Anyone else notice how the Arsenal twitter handle has been taking a dig at us since the defeat. A dead washed up club, killed themselves by letting Wenger stay long. No chance of playing UCL football in near future, we pushed them out of top 4 first, I get where they get their frustrations from.

are you mad, dommy is no guard dog, he is an attack dog and once he sinks his teeth in he doesn't let go

I can’t say but here’s a section. Gotta love the derogatory tone.

As is so often the case, an idea popped into Pep Guardiola’s head and he couldn’t resist saying it. He had been discussing the prospect of facing Watford and Norwich as preparation for Real Madrid when he went off on a tangent to get something off his chest.

It is the kind of comment that will attract plenty of headlines because it is, quite literally and very unapologetically, a lack of respect for another Premier League club.

Guardiola’s tendency to speak his mind has regularly been a problem for Manchester City’s communications department

You mean the media were actually questioning him about next game? Only seems to happen after a defeat, strange that.

City control what questions are answered* at a press conference. The press officer bats away anything they dont want Pep to answer and moves them on to the game if they dont get there on their own.

Last week, City only wanted to talk about the CAS verdict, so that's all they talked about

"Did you take a bung Pep?" Would suggest either you're wrong or we're very very shit at it.

The press officer actually shut question down and Pep spoke over him.

They cant literally stop words coming out of a journalists mouth, I dont think I implied that, they control which questions will get answers and control the questioning that way.

At no point in the CAS verdict press conference did anyone at city ask them to move on to the game because they were happy answering CAS questions.

Did anyone else catch this gem on the bbc site...
“Senior figures within the game are annoyed City had their punishment for financial fair play regulation breaches reduced”
An exercise in twisting words to create a whole new meaning.

The media will make a meal of it, conveniently forgetting how they defended the guttersnipe who questioned Pep where his salary came from straight after the cup final.

Though I was going to miss the "fun" of dissecting the CAS verdict with going away over the weekend and yet it's still not published.
Didn't their original statement last Monday say that full details would be released "later this week"?
