CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Simon Jordan surprisingly balanced there. Said he thinks there's a bit more to meet the eye, ok. But followed up by saying tebas is a twat and it's the Spanish clubs who are driving up fees and salaries and city should start suing see Spiegel, pinto and numerous other outlets

Really, i'm going to need a lie down after that.

Seeing Liverpool fans crying, shouting shit, being angry in a season where they won the title after 30 years which no one cares about ans which has a huge * sign that says:
*DOES NOT COUNT DUE to VAR and COVID.

Just to point out > We've been fined for not cooperating with the investigation. This is a clause in FFP, not in ANY other legal system around the world.

If you're accused of breaking the law, there is no requirement that you comply with the requests of those claiming you broke the law. You are allowed to mount as strong a defense as possible, with or without saying anything.

Imagine GMP booking someone for GBH and then when the person is found not guilty they fine him for not providing the information that would help them strengthen their case (if it existed).
All true but CAS judged us on whether we complied with that rule not whether it should have been a rule.
FFP is a barrier to entry so illegal elsewhere but is a UEFA rule so CAS cleared us because we conformed.
In a proper court we would have met a "why did you sign up for it then" argument but CAS are only bothered about rules.
However I wonder if UEFA could have the same fines / punishments for their breaking their own rules?

It's no secret that I think this is going to unleash a huge power struggle at UEFA and I think we'd be right behind Ceferin in that case. The G-14 apparently threatened to walk out of UEFA if we didn't get a significant ban. Well we haven't got a ban so let's see what they do now.

I know it’s a battle you’ll still fight, with a smile on your face proper now,on twitter but the finances aside what do you think the clubs stance will be on a lot of these clowns still posting drivel on their columns, still at it now I see,do they not know when they’re beaten and give up ?

It is a good start, but you sum up precisely why myself and quite a few others I suspect have tried to explain that our indifference since the Covid return to football is not that we have fallen out of love with City, but we have with football.

The unfortunate reality is that we want to join a club that doesn’t want us. I would see that cartel ripped apart rather than join it.

I look forward to the next step so long as it’s us going on the offensive because I’m absolutely disgusted with the status quo. (No not the band)
We are the Oscar Wilde of football

Interesting times as they say.
