CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

You can only imagine the scenes in the Arsenal boardroom as they ramp up pressure on clubs to 'join the crusade'.
"Yeah, I've got one!!"
"Brilliant. Who is it? Everton?
"Nah, not quite .... it's Burnley"
"Burnley?"
"Yeah, Burnley"
"Who the fuck are Burnley?"

MCFC rightly believed that had the sensitive and redacted info that was provided to CAS been released to UEFA directly that it would have been leaked and due to the obvious agenda may have been insufficient to actually find that we hadn’t breached FFP. They therefore waited until the matter was with CAS to do so and as a result won and got the clear agenda and poor evidence shown up for what it was. It was a calculated risk that absolutely in my humble opinion came off.

That seems a reasonable supposition. The fine and censure for non-co-operation sticks in my craw somewhat but I suppose I'll get over it :)

PB has caught his first fish on Twitter (Ronan).
Reel him in Colin. A 20 pounder.
The fishing will be good today.

Would like us to ask the PL what they intent to do with their members clubs that conspired and formally went to UEFA demanding to have us out of European football because of our alleged crimes when not only were we totally innocent, but it was none of their business. Hope each and everyone of those clubs are having to sleep with one eye open to see what transpires.
You mean ask them what they intend to do about this PL rule?

"We will ensure that our Clubs: • Behave with the utmost good faith and honesty to each other, do not unjustly criticise or disparage one another and maintain confidences."

Thank God we won given the hostility in some quarters.

Some journalists may now consider their own relationship with the UEFA fanatics and realise that they always had an agenda, and that the Bluemoon barmpots actually had a point.

The Etihad £8m sponsorship was an open-goal for City to smash through the net, and we did so in Troy Deeney style. Back of the net.

I am leaving it there, but I just hope that City fans have noted who said, and did what and act accordingly in the future. I hope that this is indeed the end of the book, and that there's not going to be a Part II because those Conn articles looked awfully like UEFA had been assessing potential grounds for an appeal.

Problem is CAS has given them open ground to dream up more charges based on anything they can edit together from the remaining 5,499,994 emails they haven't used yet.

The lack of cooperation charge, while pathetic, was always going to be hard to fight. However, any unbiased, objective journalist (or even casual observer) now knows that not only did City not do what UEFA suggested, but UEFA tried to bend their own rules in a desperate attempt to punish the club.

City were entirely exonerated on all relevant legal aspects of the charges and the current derogatory headlines are merely cherry-picking clickbait phrases, because more people dislike any club than like it.

I, too, hope City treat the nine Premier League clubs with the disdain they deserve. Without knowing the details or facts of the case, they inserted themselves into it in a way that casts shame on themselves.

I see Twatter journos (at least those wear red-tinted specs) have chosen the Etihad increases in sponsorship as their bludgeon, in an attempt to color City’s main sponsorship as extraordinarily lucrative. It may well have been, but as the national airline of the country the success City created on the field was spreading the brand name and associating it with success. We’re Liverpool or United being given increasing sponsorship monies, as a result of on field success, it would be lauded as due reward, of course...as have their increasing sponsorship deals without winning trophies!

While many media/opposing fan types will point to a phrase or two in a 93 page document as some kind of proof of wrongdoing not punished, what has been memorialized, and thus wholly defensible, is that Manchester City did NOT engage in the illegal activities of which they were accused, found guilty and sentenced for, all by the same oversight body. Rather, it was their unwillingness to play nice and jump on request for every piece of information required by UEFA while being investigated, even though they provided every relevant document eventually, for which they were castigated. In some circles, that would feel akin to an unwillingness of an innocent man to cooperate with the Police...a protected right, no less.

All in all, no-one will remember the actual technical issues over time, but they will know that City MUST have been not guilty because we played in the CL in the 20/21 season, and that’s what counts!

For any hack or media outlet to focus of the fine is just ridiculous. It is clear to any that want to see that City could not trust UEFA with the truth so had to wait till CAS could have it.

I accept that CAS need to believe that UEFA are not bent, we know differently, hence the fine.

BUT the real story here is that UEFA were forced or coerced into charging CITY with really poor evidence of misdoing and that we were completely exonerated of any wrong doing.

There is no one so blind as that one who refuses to see. ( or in other words, there are loads more rag/scouse twat fans knocking about so we prefer to slag CITY off than tell the truth).

WIN THE FUCKING CHUMPS LEAGUE BLUES, PRETTY FUCKING PLEASE.

In view of the lack of evidence and the tampering with the emails I find it hard to understand how uefa were not held liable for all legal costs as it essentially a malicious / false accusation by them, and also where the fuck the 10m fine is justified. Despite 'winning' we have been pretty severly punished and der spiegel / uefa get off.
Because we've got lots of resources and UEFA runs on a shoestring.

I look forward to watching the Liverpool business plan inevitably fall apart over the coming years as their key players are picked off by the Spanish giants.

They gambled everything on this kneecapping City and cementing them at the top for years to come, rather they have poked a giant with a stick and given it great resolve, them and the rest of the bent bastards.

The Biased Broadcasting Cooperation main football headline just been on BBC 1, Jesse Lingard reveals why he's not been himself this season, seriously you couldn't make this shit up. Not even trying to hold their bias back now, must be absolutely full of rags at Salford media.
