CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

You keep saying that. Certainly not ranting, but have every right to be extremely disappointed in our lack of official response to the gutter press. Other than Khaldoon and Pep I’ve seen not a lot. She, or her and her team, might do some things behind the scenes really well. But allowing the press to keep besmirching the reputation of our club and our coach doesn’t sit well with me, and that’s not ranting
Well, the headlines and reporting changed overnight, so what or who was behind that I don't know. I am pretty sure a response will come when the club are good and ready, probably after legal advice, and from whoever the club decide is best to put our response, my guess it will be Soriano or Khaldoon.

I think that the lesson that should be learned by a large number of sports ‘journalists’ - all the Harris brothers (Including Rolf and Wee Willie) - is:

When you are in a hole, stop digging!
I guess if they've already dug their graves, they might as well bury themselves until they're completely covered with dirt.

They hate that we've broken in to their precious 'Sky 4' and they use human rights issues as an excuse to keep on bashing us.

It's rather sad really how bitter and jealous they are.

Oh well, I'll just sit back and enjoy this ride of great football we're producing.

Not in this case obviously not . What do you think she should do? Pretty sure she'd soon be out of a job if she decided any club response, of her own back. Don't know why you have an issue with her, the club don't seem to, so she must be doing something right. At least in the opinion of those who employ her and know what her job is.
A few posters have a strange dislike for Vikki Kloss which seems to be based on the fact that she doesn't call Conn a c*** on social media.

By the way, how many heads of comms do I need to know before I can have an opinion on the one at my own club? I have met 3, which is probably 3 more than most people, but that gives me no less, (or more) right than any other Blue to have an opinion on the matter.

Keep your hair on mate. I haven’t met any but I know what it is like to run a Comms Department covering issues that are very unpopular in the media. It’s not easy.

I think it is hard to conclude that we did anything other than as set out in the legal documents and audit. Getting around the documents is rightly very difficult. IMO it was always obvious that the emails would be allowed but had limited evidential weight on their own.
I think You misunderstood me. I meant that by reviewing everything that UEFA reviewed and finding the opposite result rather than cutting out the evidence for the legal reasons that our legal team suggested, CAS assisted us to show that we didn’t win on a technicality.

Tony Evans' diatribe today in the Indie is hilarious in how much spin is applied to discredit UEFA.

Oh, and somewhat laissez faire approach to detail. I like "City were obstructive to the point where the panel fined them £27m."

of course City were obstructive because City didnt want their private emails being passed onto the likes of you in the press you knobhead !!...thats Tony Evens not MillionMilesAway ;)

Manchester City fans were criticised for questioning the integrity of the UEFA Adjudicatory Chamber, but now a journalist from the Guardian Media Group's journalist is questioning the independence of CAS, https://www.dumptheguardian.com/foo...city-over-sponsor-money-time-barred-cas-rules .

I think it's legitimate for a journalist to campaign, and source information pertinent to a story but a liberal newspaper should also question authority, and should be independent of it. I'd have thought UEFA, the G14, and far right football officials would be a far more natural organisations for scrutiny than a football club part-owned by an Emirati?

The Guardian Media Group is free to publish what it likes, and should remain free to do so, but Manchester City supporters should also be free to criticise and will naturally form their own opinion as to whether it's sensible to contribute towards a commercial news organisation which is such a fervent supporter of the footballing establishment.
And yet you have posted yet another link to them ,take your own advice and stop spreading their shite

I have the same thoughts. Reading the report last night I was glad that I knew we had been successful in the appeal because, as I read, it seemed that we were losing all the arguments. I then realised that it knocked the winning on a technicality crap on the head. As Stefan wrote on twitter, there was a lot of no evidence comments,

Ps as you no doubt no, reputations damage is a huge issue for any Comms dept, close (not Kloss) to a number one priority, and whatever the rights and wrongs we have suffered hugely in that respect, whatever you think of my hair (which by the way given my user name is a very sensitive subject)

CAS reviewed more evidence than UEFA did, hence why CAS stated that if we'd fully cooperated in the first place, then UEFA may well have come to the same conclusion as CAS. That's partly why they hit us with the €10million fine.

You may well be right. FWIW was disappointed with Kloss when she informed the press, “in confidence”, that Mancini was being sacked, in the run up to the Wigan Cup Final. I just think managing the media with regard to FFP is an impossible job, given how loaded the media bias is against us.
