Just thought i would go back and see what the view was prior to the season and some interesting posts.

Next year apparently. ..
Spot on...finally after 30years!

I would like to congratulate Liverpool FC on winning the league.

PS As we don't have a rivalry, we'll now leave you alone to get on with Everton and United.

Ta Ra, La

If Liverpool are going to be a threat next season then its a season I'm really not looking forward too. The scouse wall of noise will be unbearable. Their horrible whiney, phlegmy accent and their shameless self-importance will be heard on a loop on 5 live and talksport as fans ring in and read poems and cry.

The media wankathon will carry on where it left off with Watford fan John Barnes pontificating yet again to anyone who'll pay his fee, snidey digs from John Aldridge in the Liverpool echo, Tony Evans spouting pseudo-intellectual crap on talksport, Danny Murphy declaring the league is won in January on motd.... the list goes on. Oh yeah, Micky Quinne as well.....

I'm going to have to look at probably 68 dives by that diving egyption, 126 shots of their gurning speccy manager, shots of Margeret Aspinall hugging Kenny Dalgliesh, sky and bt sport going silent when ynwa is sang as if its some national institution.

And I would be willing to bet everything I own that the phrase 'its our year' is uttered before the season starts, possibly on the day of the charity shield. Jesus, I forgot about that as well, so that's a minimum of 3 times we are forced into contact with them. I reckon their fans will be upto their old jolly scouse antics at Wembley.

I really tire of them very easily. Batten down the hatches for next season, it's gonna be unbearable.
I did laugh at reading that as you were so so spot on. the media hype was incredible and OTT.

It's definitely their year.
Not so stupid!

VAR will leave them struggling for a europa league place
According to most posts you were the most way off the mark.

All part of the wonder that is football and the prem. The fact that it is so hard to predict...apart from me agreeing that the media will do with a "love in" with Liverpool and the rags.
Have to say that I actually don't think "next year will be our year", as I don't think there is any way that next year can be predicted. City wont make the same mistakes as this year, Chelsea have strengthened and rags sadly will be alot closer. Pretty even 4 horse race maybe??

Any mention of bus wrecking , hacking other clubs scouting data bases , ducking spanish waiters , burning local landmarks or other such entertaining follies ?

Strangely enough no. It was propaganda at it's very best. They even included the spontaneous black lives salutes. Klopp was very emotional when talking about this - said he had no idea it was going to happen and how it set a precedent for others.

I'm sure they made the point of contrasting that with the Chewy Suarez , Patrice Evra incident though , in which the goofy racist was backed to hilt by the players , managers and supporters including the team and manager wearing t shirts depicting the goofy racist and number 7 before the game...or was that not mentioned either ?

Had no idea that a salute was going to happen? A salute that saw players spaced out perfect around the centre circle while the club advert accidentally happened to be in the background, and a passing photographer was strolling through a stand ....OK then ...

Did it show him getting angry at a 15 year old Everton ballboy who sartistcally clapped him off after Everton drew 0-0 and miffed off Klopp?

By the way, was this as good as the docs that were shown for Pep after winning the titles? Oh sorry, none were made..bias indeed.

Klipperty is a veritable paragon of virtue & all perfect correctness in a very uncivilised world.

Until his team loses that is.

Or is found out to have more faces than the town hall clock

My Dad used to tell a story about the town hall clock in the nearest town to us. He said that all four faces told a different time, and none of them was right.

He and his mates called it the four-faced liar!

Think I missed that bit, was having an erdinger!! Weird how John Barnes spoke of racism but never mentioned how he himself dressed as a KKK member at a fancy dress party - must be that famous scouse humour.
I look forward to them entering the next Olympics in the " throwing a slab at the Bulgarian waiter" category.
