Swap him for the similar aged pacier, taller, similar valued Todibo.
Seems many Barca fans would prefer he was brought back from Shalke than them buy garcia this season after impressing.
Many cules, like myself, would prefer to keep both

In truth, I have precious little time for any of these academies, including our own. It might give us all a rosy glow to see a local lad progress to the first team, but the idea of taking children and their families from the corners of the world and then farming them in a completely alien environment as if they were a product, we’ll that sits uneasy with me. Even the ‘poaching’ of kids from other teams seems a bit distasteful, but hey ho.
OH FUCK OFF, YOU ARE FROM SWITZERLAND. Is Cule the Catalan for plastic? Many cules, like myself, would prefer to keep both

If Garcia stays until next season and then leaves, would we not get a fee set by a tribunal. Similar to the dippers having to pay £6.5m for Danny Ings from Burnley in 2015. Or am I barking up the wrong tree.
Pretty much correct yes mate
Good point. Depends on if he is on a professional contract or not.
You sure you aren’t thinking of a different 4 letter word starting with the same 2 letters?Certainly a 'Cule'!

Vidal also, when he was quite clearly finished at Bayern.
You can be the most gifted of the youngsters and still not be ready. There will be a minimum criteria needed to gain a spot and if you don't meet it, you won't get much of a sniff. Such is lifeWell, Garcia was a prospect as well until Pep started him regulary. If we don't give him minutes and start loaning him around, we will never have a real value of him. I m not an academy frenetic, but I would like to see one year with the first team, for the most gifted players, before sending them on loans. I really hated the way we managed Angelino and Maffeo. I remember the friendly in USA pre seson, I think, when Maffeo destroyed Sane, they even had a little fight, and Maffeo deserved to be kept with the squad then.
I think international transfers use a formula set by FIFA, not UEFA, for compensation, which I believe would give us a lower fee than if he went to another English clubThe compensation fees for youth players going from one club to another in England(not sure if that includes the whole of the UK) is vastly more than if they leave the country. One is set by the English FA and the other by UEFA (I think).
+1Literally no fucks given here.
He would never be a regular starter for me.
THB is a decent prospect nothing more, don't get carried away because he is a local kid.
He will have to improve considerably to get anywhere near our squad, hopefully he will but he is not yet the 2nd coming!
Some of the comments on here are unreal he is a 19 year old lad and has broken into the team, does not matter what the circumstances are for that, hasn’t made any major errors and people are saying he is shit! I am disappointed that he has chosen to leave and like others think he will not be the answer long term but Christ almighty some of you need to have a word with yourselves
I'm seeing similar comments that Dippers made when Sterling left them.
We are actually better than that. It always hurts when somebody wants to leave.
Clubs cut players adrift as soon as they don't need them, so they have to think solely about themselves.
He has potential, and maybe staying would have allowed him to realise that. But the draw of Barca and going home is obviously strong.
We sometimes forget they are real people with private lives.
So let's just wish him well and concentrate on us.
