I get what you're saying but when Pep managed Messi he was a model professional and a great teammate - it helps winning most of the time to be fair - Regarding Kev, I believe Kev wants to win everything and finish his own career as a multiple CL winner so he would know signing Messi would help achieve that so would be happy.

Say we do pull this off I can see it only being a 2 year deal and I could see Pep also extending an extra year. Either way it would be worth the risk because even at 33 his presence alone would create space and opportunities for others to shine - he also looks to have natural fitness and plays most games. Very exciting times, just imagine how signing him could impact the likes of Torres and Foden.
My only concern with that is Pep, Aguero and Messi (if signs) all leaving at the same time. Big boots for the club to fill

;)

----------------------Messi-------------------
Sterling-------------KDB------------Foden
----------Aouar--------------Rodri----------
Cancelo-----Laporte----Ake-----Walker
------------------Ederson-----------------

Kun, Bernardo, Torres, Jesus, Foden, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Garcia, Zinchenko, Mendy, Otamendi, Stones, Angelino
I like. One small change.

Us signing Messi if it happens would be exactly the same as when Pep joined god’s own. He was the messiah that would be unbelievable for any of the old media favourites, nailed on on any given day for a move to the rags, dippers, Arse, Chelsea, tottingham. He signs for us and suddenly he’s a bald fraud cheque book manager that couldn’t do it with no resources whose teams are boring as fuck to watch and could only win the chumps league because he had Messi.
Messi will suddenly become Danny Mills
We know that’s how it will likely go, however if he comes Premier league upgrade and they’ll be thinking money. There is a chance.
I’ve heard rule 1.2.12.56 VAR to fuck over City at every opportunity is currently being amended, albeit to every second opportunity, there is always hope

I’m getting to the stage now if this doesn’t happen, I will be really devastated. I’ve convinced myself that he’s coming.

Haha I thought I would feel similar but honestly, today has been just so great that even if he stays I'll be just fine. If by some miracle he went to the Rags then it's a different story haha.

I basically only load the forum now to see if it has crashed. If it has crashed then I will know he has signed and I won’t even have to read a word! Can skip right to soaking up all the delicious salty tears on other forums

I went to sleep last night thinking it was off, the president was resigning, Messi would stay, etc. Woken up to reports that he wants to play for us? Fucking fuck, fuck.

It is 100% happening.

Now, the important part is to see if Messi manages to leave on free or if you find a middle ground with Barcelona (they have accepted his will to leave) to prevent any legal battle.

Imo, the second option is the more likely. Something like 100+ one player (Eric Garcia for example).

We'll score 120 next season with Messi. Book it.

I thought it was going to be literally impossible to replace Sane who put up a goal contribution every 80 (!!!!) minutes in 18/19. That's absolutely absurd and we went ahead and replaced him with the GOAT?

THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE CITY!
