It would have been daft to even think about signing a new deal imo.

I thought he would until a few days ago, purely because it's what he's always done, but it's really time for Messi to go & Barca to move on.

What use would it be having Messi there whilst trying to build a new team ? It's still Messi & it would build around him, he's 33!

With us, he's joining a team not being a team on his own.

Move on Barca ffs.

Scored 51 18/19. then 31 19/20 - his worst return for 12 years and he isn't getting any younger. Past records mean nothing it is the future and he is well in decline.

A 20 goal decline in a season suggests he is past his best at 33. He is currently a rat leaving a sinking ship and I would kick him as far away as I could, rather than pay his stupid wages which will rip the team apart causing long term damage.

Let’s face it. You’ve not really got a good track record when it comes to discussing the quality of players and managers. ;)

Messi will be the PL’s top scorer next season if he plays in the front 3 and he’ll be top class.

i saw him do nothing in an 8-2 defeat his last match, a passenger in a massive game. Why not sign Rivaldo, Maradona or Bebeto? Surely these are good players if you go by name only.

Why are you even here? You clearly get no joy from the game or club. You don’t want Messi, you don’t want Guardiola. What’s the point? You’re just passing your own misery on to everyone else.
